I live nearby here and I frequently eat here. I am no longer going to be eating here at all due to a recent incident. I ordered a large amount of food and asked the woman who answered the phone that I wanted a "seafood delight in brown sauce" 3x and she said yes ok no problem. I drove all of the way home and realized that they made it in white seafood sauce. Which I don't like.
They said that I could get the meal the way I ordered it if I brought it back. Annoyed with having to drive all the way there again I said fine I'll be right there please have it ready for me when I get there.
They took back the wrong meal in white sauce, rinsed it off in the wok with water, scooped it out and proceeded to cook the original meal in the brown sauce. The chef knew that I wanted a fresh one and looked right at me and looked around to see if anyone was watching him when he rinsed the old food in the water.
I sat and argued with the woman telling her that I wanted a fresh one cooked correctly the way I asked and she played stupid like she doesn't speak English and kept saying "oh so sorry, so sorry"
I also saw them taking food directly out of the freezer with their bare hands and putting it directly into the deep fryer.
I'm NEVER eating here again after this experience and seeing the true filth that goes on there. Such a dirty place!
Against my better judgment I ordered from them again yesterday and I got there to see the woman behind the counter handling other people's money and then handling my cooked food with her bare hands and no gloves, didn't even wash them. She just grabbed my cooked food and put it in a bag.
I ordered the scallop and fried rice special and she took the scallops directly from an open bag out of the freezer and put them directly into the fryer. They were super rubbery.
The cleanliness of this place is questionable at best. The stereotypes about Chinese restaurants are true and this place is no exception. Filthy food...
Read moreGenerally, disappointing. I ordered a Sesame Chicken combination and Pan Fried Dumplings. The chicken was tough, chewy and cut into very small pieces. A lot of coating but way overcooked meat smothered in a lot of sauce. The pork fried rice was basic. Good texture, not greasy. Also noticeably cooler in temperature from the main dish. The egg roll was nicely golden and crispy, but again, not hot. I was left with a river of oil down my hand and wrist. It was not well drained. Not even a napkin in the paper wrapper to catch residual grease. The dumplings were massive. Eight crammed into the aluminum tray. The meat filling was a bit mealy in texture. It didn’t really have a strong flavor of garlic or scallions that I typically expect from Asian dumplings. They were fried; they had some browning and texture. The dough was too soft — with the mealy, bland filling, it wasn’t a great experience. I’ve tried moo shu pork which was just as bland and a couple of other entrées. I have to give up on this place. I always get a heaping dose of...
Read moreNew owners, same horrible service and atmosphere. I gave this a shot since it was be owners tonight. Here is my summary. #1 no more beverage included with dinner combo. #2. Fried dumplings are not even edible (no I'm not being super critical) they are truly gross and soft. #3 ordered pork egg rolls, got vegetable and were extra greasy and gross. #4 ordered sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice. Rice was excellent. The chicken was soft not crispy and tasted off.
This business needs a serious change, please reconsider if you are thinking about ordering here. Go the extra few miles to go to glenmont ravena or coxsackie. This place obviously doesn't care about quality or even flavor. The new owners couldn't even fix the tiles that were stained and lopsided on the ceiling from the...
