The cafe switched owners and the new ownership began about a week ago. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were absolutely delicious. I think the prices have gone up a bit with the new ownership and as much as I love a cheap diner meal, I have to admit I understand they’re probably just trying to be financially sustainable. I was still a little surprised when my bill was $19.75 for the chilaquiles and a coffee—with tip that’s $24!!—as I assume the ingredients aren’t organic or from small local farms (if they are, please advertise that as that would be a huge selling point for me!). The servers were definitely a bit overwhelmed/understaffed with the Saturday morning rush— I received a blunt “it’ll be a few minutes” from the server as she walked by when I sat down but did get coffee within ten minutes. Received a more genuine apology when it took 20 minutes to get the check after I finished eating. I am sure this is a temporary setback as they work through the changes of new ownership and the food was so delicious that I’ll gladly come back in a few weeks to see if things are running a little...

From the sandwiches, to the soups, Cole slaw, Mac salad, etc. it reminded me of the best home cooked meals I’ve ever had. The difference here is that the ingredients and flavors of each dish are good quality and meticulously prepared - not just thrown together. A grilled cheese looks, tastes and feels like a work of art. The experience is like a little respite from the fast paced world - good food in a little spot off the beaten path. We drove up from Clifton Park and came here for lunch. Highly recommend to take a morning drive for breakfast or lunch - it’s a wonderful little place. To the chef/staff - don’t...
Read moreWe were fans of the previous establishment so decided to check out the new one. The waitress was friendlier with "regulars" so we got limited but polite attention. The environment was bland and not inviting or in any way unique. Shabby spartan. The food...we got breakfast sandwiches for $11 each I could have made at home for under $3. Mine wasn't even cut in half. There was NOTHING that inspired me to want to return, sadly. If you need a quick unimaginative bite and there's nothing else available, this is fine. But that's about the only word I have...
