Very disappointed. They say they don't take reservations. Drove 30 minutes, arrived a little after 5 when they opened on a Monday night in the summer. Had 5 adults and one child, including my senior parents. Place was just about empty, told we couldn't be seated because they were full and the kitchen couldn't handle it. When we asked why they had tables reserved for people when they don't take reservations, we were told that it was for people arriving by boat? I don't know for sure but seemed like they had friendst hat they werew catering to. It just didn't make sense. And the manager seemed inconvenienced that we were there. Decided to wait a few minutes and have a drink because we drove all that way. Sat at the bar. We ordered 2 screwdrivers that came without ice, ordered 2 Moscow mules that were basically vodka and club soda and paid like $10 a drink. We don't blame thet young bartender but at $10 a drink you expect quality drinks. While we are sitting there they sat several parties about our size. It's too bad. Beautiful spot but they still need to figure out how to manage...
Read moreIm all for supporting local, especially in a small town but this is some of the worst service, attitude, hospitality and food I've ever had. Called for reservations and were told they dont accept them. Arrived and they clearly had a reservation book at the hostess station. The bartenders dont know sweet from dry for wines or champagnes or how to make a mixed drink. The bartender also took only 2 drink orders at a time from a group of 6 joking that it was "small batch" bartending. The joke would have been awesome if the drinks hadn't been cr@p. The portion size was minuscule, literally like 3oz of chicken for an 8.00 upcharge on a salad. The grilled lettuce was just wilted from heat, no nice char whatsoever. I definitely wasted a nice vacay night at this dump, you need to have the patience of a saint and not really care what your food or drinks taste like to enjoy it here, also dont be too hungry. Should've stuck with a...
Read moreWhat a cute backdrop. Pretty woods and beautiful stream running past. That part is 5 stars. But the food was really average and service pretty untrained. The ice tea was from a fountain and food really unseasoned. My kids wouldn't even eat the chicken fingers (eek). I got a tasteless flat bread that claimed to be using heirloom tomatoes, but got 3 quarter size slices of paper thin tasteless tomato. Their was also no flavor to the olive oil or mozzarella. The Tuna nachos (deconstructed) that my wife got was pretty and tasted "okay" but lacked in much tuna and could have been more substantive. If not for the setting the review would...
