Lucky Inn — Restaurant in Town of Hamptonburgh

Every Friday night my wife and I have ordered from them for OVER 6 years and never had an unpleasant experience. We averaged about $25 per order, which equates to $1300 a year and $7800 for the 6 years. I played with the two sons, doing magic tricks for them when I sometimes waited for my food. We had a good rapport and never any issues, until 3 weeks ago. We ordered chicken lo mein and when I got home I found that they gave us shrimp lo mein instead. Normally that would be an "upgrade" but my wife is allergic to seafood. So we called them about the mistake in the order. The husband showed up at my house about 5-8 minutes later with the original chicken lo mein that we ordered. However he asked for payment for the order, which I wasnt too happy about seeing as how THEY made the mistake. But to keep things civil we decided to pay but we had no cash, only credit cards so we agreed that the next time I ordered, they would charge me for the chicken lo mein, even though I thought they shouldn't have since it was THEIR mistake in the first place. Three minutes after the husband leaves, the wife calls my house demanding the original shrimp lo mein back because we didnt pay for the chicken lo mein that the husband just dropped off! I told her I would pay the "next time" and she said NO! She said she wanted payment right now or the shrimp lo mein back!! I told her to send her husband back because we weren't paying for THEIR mistake. Now WHY would she want the shrimp lo mein back??? I can only summize that she was going to give it to another customer, YUK!!! I know I wouldn't want food that was left in someone else's house! Either way, we decided to stop going there and after 6 years of ordering EVERY Friday night and spending roughly $7800 there, they lost our business over an $8 dish. These are VERY, VERY poor business people and we will never set foot...

This is not a 1 star review. This is a ZERO star review. My husband and I love to order from them for their wings. We’ve never had an issue with them up until yesterday. I ordered my self buffalo wings, fries, and got a homemade sweet tea. I got home and ate the wings and drank the tea and noticed as I was nearing the bottom of the container of the tea that it was tasting weird. I looked at the bottom of the container and instantly wanted to throw up. THERE WAS MOLDAT THE BOTTOM OF THE TEA CONTAINER!! I had drank more than half of the tea. I called them right away and nicely let them know about the mold. The guy said, “ Oh yeah, that happens because I put the tea at the bottom of the freezer” which makes absolutely NO sense. He didn’t care that he just served a customer MOLD. And its not even a little bit of mold the entire bottom of the container was covered in mold. I will NEVER. EVER. Order from them again. They should be out of business! The restaurant looks disgusting, and they constantly have their small kids working. Just unsanitary and gross at this point. I have been going to this place for years. But the place really is disgusting. You can see where they were attempting to wash the walls leaving it way more noticeable. The cans of sauce are just filthy looks like they are never cleaned the hood over the cooking area is dripping with grime. I ordered dumplings. 45 minutes later I finally got them and they were horrible tasted like my fried dumplings were cooked in a dirty pan or with used oil. There was burnt particles all over them. The steamed dumplings were not any better. The dough was off. Either stale or not fully cooked and they were ripped up. Even though I have witnessed the kids act up in there and understand a working family business, I would still go.l, as my family has a business where the kids are at and they get a bit rambunctious at times.
