Big Guys was a big No for us. Went for Wed. AYCE wings. Sat at the bar. Ordered pretty quick. Wings had a weird coating on them. Not at all the typical wing when you think of bone in at a bar, and not told they had a coating/breaded. Not sure why they ask you what flavor, and if you want two menu says an extra 50 cents, yet they bring you a 6 pack full of a bunch of sauces. Even though wings not anywhere near expected, Flavor was good plain, maybe they just changed the oil. Sauces were fine, nothing special. Got one of each, tots and fries, for side but Neither were hot or crispy, both room temp at best.
Lots of staff, but all just chatting with eachother. Had to wave someone down for ketchup, since it wasn't brought with the fries, as well as we had to ask to get a 2nd drink, even though clearly glass was empty for a bit and while in the middle of eating.
Asked for a 2nd round of wings, told 3x by the same girl that you can't take them home, we said we were aware (the first time they told us, didn't need 2 more) You don't want to waste, we get it, but they Clearly were trying to get us not to order, but we did. Also clear the cook used the bottom of the bag, these legs looked awful. Still, would have been fine and would have eaten them, but more than half were literally cold and red in the middle!!! Definitely did not check temp on them!!! Thank goodness we didn't get food poisoning/salmonella!!! That was it for us. Drink prices were good. Wing price was good.... if you actually got cooked / hot food and not hassled for AYCE, when that's what...
Read moreI called before we went and that was a sign. Melanie was annoyed that we called to see if our group of 4 needed reservations and what the special was? Monotone and indifferent.
AYCE Wing Wednesday is a joke! Oily, greasy, breaded, disgusting, overcooked, and cold in the center, frozen wings. The non friendly server named Melanie was the bartender over who over estimates her hotness, and ignores her customers. She has zero personality. She's there to text and get some attention from the male regulars. She never followed up on our food or drinks and would be working harder if she was sleeping. Melanie comes to work to flirt with some dude who's there to watch her work and drinks for free. Staff and bartender were playing on there cell phones, texting and playing pool, while bar patrons waited for drinks and food. This place has gone downhill. Wings are breaded, overcooked.and disgusting and super oily. You can't peel off the breading. Just gross! Wings at Kwik Trip are 10 times better and are pre made. The cook is the only one who is...
Read moreWe used to enjoy coming to this bar for wings and soup. Over the past year we've had 2 experiences bad enough to dine elsewhere.
First time, we walked in and were immediately told the kitchen is closed. Not even 10 minutes later 2 other people, who the bartender greeted, were told the kitchen is always open to them. Obviously this was irritating, but we decided to give them a second shot thinking perhaps it was just a fluke. Everyone deserves a second chance.
Second time, we started with just an appetizer, within one bite, we both looked at each other and asked if the others was still frozen in the center. Our waitress was cool about it and said she would get it fixed. The cook went to get some new ones from the freezer. Then some blonde haired lady came in & yelled at the cook to just re-dunk the ones sent back. This caused the appetizer to be hard upon being re-served. We ate them because we were hungry, at least this time it was warm, but we would not recommend this place to any of our friends, family,...
