Wow, just let them tell you the specials and your mouth will water. Some of the best food in Cooperstown. Also some of the most genuinely nice people and probably best service we’ve had in the town. I don’t think you can really go wrong ordering anything other than maybe the salad, it looked pretty basic. Burgers are cooked to perfection, if you want to feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven, order the pesto garlic fries. Fried green beans with secret aoli sauce are also just as delicious. Pastrami was a great, reminded me of a Rueben a bit. House chips were crisp. All around great experience. Don’t expect to play wiffle ball here, but expect great food, great service, and great beer. A couple or a few families could be accommodated, but not likely a whole team. And if you do come, keep your kids in check, nobody wants to deal unruly children.

My wife and I visited here for our anniversary after a Cooperstown/ leaf peeping trip. Small building but they make the most of the space while maintaining all Covid precautions. We both ordered burgers, the Brie and the Gouda....Both were cooked perfectly, the Gouda was very good, the Brie burger came smothered in apple jam (seriously) and was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. The pesto fries are delicious and well worth the $3 upcharge. Nice variety of beers, something for everyone. We had 3 out of their ten and they were all great. Friendly staff, our waitress Kaitlyn was on the ball and had a great personality despite being busy. Will definitely visit again!

My best friend and I stopped in here after we were in Cooperstown for the day! they had fresh beer on tap. The mango wheat was absolutely phenomenal. The lady serving us was very sweet and knowledgeable on what they had. The food was outstanding and fresh and that was what made me very happy walking in there as soon as I went through the door, I could smell fresh food and that always makes me happy walking into an establishment! Clean Calm Environment! I will be back when I’m in the area again! Great establishment!

I see I’m not the only one and it’s been going on for years. I have a house up here I visit. I stopped in for first time in three years and wouldn’t be back I’d stick to across the way at JDs which is a way better atmosphere friendlier faster service and no crazy charges.

50 bucks for chicken tenders even if they were good, tos fries and a chicken Cesar salad is tourist prices. It’s not okay to charge 1.75 for a side of sauce BUT* if you’re going to it’s your job to tell me it cost that before you bring it.

My salad didn’t have enough dressing, but because I said on the side when it was served I had to pay 1.75 for a tiny thing more of it?? Just unreal. It was also way too watery and tasted like vinegar So it was an 18 basic salad. Come on.

Then, the kicker .50 cents they charge for a to go bo?! That’s embarrassing! as a business owner you eat that cost. your prices are inflated enough to cover that most definitely. Yikes.

40 in food not so bad before the nonsense charges, even if still a bit pricey then was charged 3.00 for tiny sauce (a bottle costs that….seriously? Try .50) gross.

Plus the Credit card fee everyone seems to do up here made the bill nearly 52 FOR TENDERS AND chicken Cesar SALAD?

Only one guy Kyle was taking care of All. I had to wait to be seated sat with strangers and talked for a bit, others dishes were late out at other tables when all else were eating already. I heard there was a new cook. They are definitely short staffed and a stressful Uncomfortable atmosphere but he was nice. 20 mins passed before drinks.

Advice. Never charge for dressing for a salad when it wasn’t enough to ā€œdressā€ the portion that’s cringey.

And 1.75 is way too much for a tiny side sauce but let the person know ahead of time if choose to charge that and eat your box cost we are paying your credit card processing fees. Thank you. Stick to pricey burgers pay cash and don’t take food home or eat in oneonta cooperstown is a tourist rip off...

I'd love to give this place a great review. Over the years their food has proven delicious, but tonight a problem with management ended my support for this restaurant. tonight, (my mothers 70'th birthday) we arrived for our 6:00pm reservation, made days earlier, to questioning looks and confusion. We were then informed that the person who took our reservation was "getting married" and so apparently this was the reason he failed to write the reservation down in the book. As if this is a reasonable excuse at any point to offer a customer. We were then informed that they couldn't rectify the situation and squeeze us in for 90 minutes. Mind you there are 4 adults, and 3 children under 8 trying to stand in an area big enough for 4 or 5 people as we watch a two top sit at a 10 top table. I've been in the restaurant industry as a cook/manage/owner for over 20 years. The manager didn't even come out to deal with us face to face. I can't have any respect for that, and can't give more than 1 out of 5 stars to a place that is this disrespectful to customers. I get things happen, especially on busy Friday nights, but someone needs to own up, apologies and try to make things right, and not one manager in this restaurant tried. I'm not saying their food isn't good, this is why we went there, but i will say, if you have a birthday or any important family event this is not the place, or management team to trust with your hard earned money. We were offered a gift certificate for less than 20% of what we would have spent, but we won't be back to redeem it. Too little, too late, too many people disappointed to gamble another try. šŸ™„šŸ˜¢ sad to lose a place we liked in a rural area with not so...

We tried to get a table on Friday night when we arrived in Cooperstown but the wait was going to be almost an hour.... we were hungry so we found another place to eat nearby. While we were deciding to wait it out, we noticed so many happy customers. There were people dining in the front dining room as you enter the Council Rock Brewery, and a constant flow of people doing take out. So we decided to come back on Saturday for dinner and much to our surprise, they weren't very crowded. We got a table in the back dining room. As soon as we walked in and saw all of the antique clocks on the walls we were fascinated with the place! We sat down at a table and was greeted by a very friendly waiter. I drew the short straw so I was the designated driver and my husband was the designated drinker. So he tried several of the house beers and enjoyed all of the selections the waiter suggested. I ordered the Council Rock’s Southwest Chicken Taco Salad which was really delicious. There is a roasted pepper in that salad that gave it a really special taste. The waiter took his time explaining that choice pepper and all of the other ingredients that went into that tasty salad. My husband got the Shrimp Po Boy and he was a happy man. What made him even happier was to bring a growler home of his favorite beer of the evening so he could remember our dinner at Council...
