so I am an employee of the dock. I am experienced 12 years of food service and beyond. here as a knowledgeable and experienced ,employee I get treated with incompetence and I get treated as if I kno nothing of my field. when. I have a concern of safety such as cross contamination it getsblown off lightly with basically a scoff or equal to. I have brought up the fact of under cooking or overcooking food as the "wellness" standard is not taught or accepted by the owner, it is to be madeto his likeing even if the customer asked otherwise. eg, I made a medium rare steak. he didn't like the way it looked so he made it more well as per the customer ordered it to be medium rare. any ones oppinion doesn't matter as the owner will over ride your wants or needs. eg, i Made a burger tha only asked for lettuce on it. he demandes that i add onion and tomatoe, now if the customer we're allergic? they would have been i'll or worse as the neglegence of the owner and thier lack of good saftey has obviously clouded thier judgement to triste people of 12 plus years with experience. all in all. i would not eat here if You want your opinión or requests...
Read moreWe have been coming to Hayward, Round Lake for 50 years, every year. For the last 10+ staying in a cabin behind bar. Every year, we patronize this establishment as a tradition. Last year was dissapointing, but I chalked it up to new ownership, so I did not post my very negative experience. However, I cant go another year without expressing my dissapointment. My husband, son and I walked in and sat down at a table for at least 10 minutes without receiving any menus. This was about 530 pm on Friday, June 12th. The bar had about 4 people and the dining room, 2. They all had drinks and seemed to be taken care of. The owner did greet us, and was talking on the phone, then picking up other plates, talking to ppl in dining room, etc. We thought we would at least be offered something to drink and menus. My parents wanted us to bring back a pizza formthem as well. We were hungry. We ended up walking out because we were invisible to the staff. Read more6/11/22 We arrived around opening time and got a table. It was Saturday night and they have live music later. My husband got the half broasd chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw, and I ordered the sausage pizza. Since it was near opening time the food arrived fast. My husband said it was the best broasted chicken he has ever had. And the same went for the potatoes, gravy, and coleslaw. I LOVED the pizza. Last night I had pizza at another restaurant and said it was the best I've ever had, and now here is another Italian masterpiece and I feel it's the best ever too They have different crusts and sauces and I love them both! This one had incredible sausage in nice bite size pieces on it. The owner was the chef for the night and also brought the food to the table. He has the sausage custom made from a local butcher...WOW.....it is delicious! Every night we try a different place and every night beats anything, ..,except Murray's in MPLS,...that we have had in the last two years. Hats off to Wisconsin! We...
