This place is a nice little place. I think you could drive by a bunch of times and never think of going in. However, the inside is pretty nice. Basically a big open room with a little nook with a few extra tables. It feels like a bar that wants to be more. The bartender was the first person we spoke to. We got a few drinks while we waited for seats. She was very nice and quick to help us. It was very busy because it was "National Tequila Day" so they had a $5 Margarita deal and $2/$3 tacos. We had about half a beer before they sat us in the back. Its pretty tight but not uncomfortable. A waiter came over and retook our drink order. He apologized that they were crazy busy and said he would come back as soon as possible. It wasn't too long before he came back. We had said we weren't in a rush anyway. We ordered Irish Nachos and we all got tacos and one Caesar salad. The nachos were cool, basically loaded fries. The tacos were great. Not big but delicious and stuffed to the brim. The Caesar was huge. We went a good bit without seeing our waiter again. Our drinks ran dry for a good amount of time. We eventually had to shout for him and he refilled our drinks. At this point he must've been about done dealing with customers because he became very gruff and seemed annoyed anyone was still there. He was so rude to the table next to us that they asked us if he had been like that all night. They discussed just leaving but were still there when we left. They really didn't like him. He rolled his eyes when we ordered a last round, a dessert to go and the check. He brought our drinks and a kid dropped the check off. The check wasn't crazy. Things were reasonably priced. We paid and realized the dessert hadn't come but we weren't charged either so we weren't going to worry about it. Then the waiter came over, apologized for missing the dessert and gave it to us free of charge. Overall it was a good experience. The food, atmosphere and generally the staff were all good. Don't drive by, stop in,...
Read moreI love tacos truly I do. So when I was seeing what to get for dinner I was pleasantly surprised to see this restaurant pop up on my local eateries. I want to start this by saying I am a little picky. I ordered two beef tacos, one pork taco and a carne asada steak taco. I also ordered an appetizer of their mussels. Iâm currently on a journey to find the best mussels at my local restaurants. Starting with the beef tacos these were delicious! Topped with back to bakers crunchy slaw and an amazing blend of pico da gallo with some onion and cilantro tossed in they were my second favorite out of the mix up. The reason they were my second is because I had no choice but to leave the first spot to the absolutely delicious carne asada steak taco. I wish I got more of them! The way the lime juice mixed with the steak and toppings was phenomenal. Out of all the tacos I have to say the pork just wasnât for me. I think I was expecting more flavor but when put up against the other flavors it fell a bit flat and just wasnât to my taste. I know for next time now and overall the other tacos were so delicious that it didnât even matter. To end it off the mussels my word the mussels were beautiful. Large and sitting in a tasty white wine garlic mix. The tray I got was loaded and the sourdough you get with the appetizer is so good with the broth of the mussels. I definitely would recommend this spot. For the price you pay you cannot beat it. I will be back and look forward to...
Read moreWow, what a hidden gem in the mountains of Yulan! Many other great reviews steered us to check out this local favorite dining destination.
Upon our arrival, our reserved table placed us in the âdining roomâ which is just off the spacious bar area. There were many dining in the bar area at high top tables also enjoying the daily specials. The dining room offers low tables and can be set up to accommodate larger groups. The walls & ceiling should be updated with some acoustic panels as the noise level can create a cacophonous experience which can be difficult for some diners.
However somewhat noisy you may find the warm setting, when you scan the menu, itâs easy to dismiss some items as standard fare... our group explored the somewhat short menu.
Hereâs what we checked out: Seared Ahi Tuna (special) A+++ awesome!!! Fried Cod Tidbits (menu) A+++ made fresh!! Steamed Clams(menu) A++ delicious broth!! Irish Nachos (menu) A+++ amazing!!!
