Holland Hotel — Restaurant in Town of Holland

The Happy Birthday bar tender was awful. When we ordered drinks before dinner she said you will have to wait. I ordered a second drink again she said you will have to wait. She was more interested I guess with the regulars. Your bar tender needs a attitude adjustment. I ordered more gravy she said that would be a upcharge, that’s fine. It was barely warm she said it was steaming hot when she brought it out? Well it wasn’t. If it was steaming hot I would not have said anything. A GOOD bar tender would have reheated it & she pretty much called me a liar with her remark. So I ask for a container she brings me one for the sandwich I ask for one for the gravy which I didn’t use, she brings me a very little container which it all wouldn’t fit, I asked for another she didn’t bring me one so I put the rest of the gravy on my sandwich. Her tip reflexed on her service, I shouldn’t have given her a tip & I regret that I did. We will not be back & I will spread the word to everyone. The Holland Hotel Bar Tender was rude & unprofessional. Take off your birthday hat and be a bar tender. She knew I was not happy, but she pranced her self around like she was top shelf. Maybe she should find a different job because she is not good for your business. Oh she told a coworker to move it because she was in her way I believe she was headed to the kitchen & this girl was ahead of her. She is just plan RUDE!!!! Again we...

As a person who loves the small town of Holland, raised a family here and moved back here, it saddens me to write this. The Holland Hotel has been iconic throughout the years in our little town. The change in ownership has had its ups and downs and I have tried to give it the benefit of that. However, last night a small group of ladies, including myself were treated with utter disrespect and rudeness from the bartender, Desiree. She appeared unhappy to be in her position the moment we walked in and asked for service. She began shutting down the facility with a bar full of laughter and good people. She began to attack my friend and caused a scene over her being too tired. This makes me so sad to have witnessed such a display at a place that I have always had fond memories. We came here with 10 of us. The food was great. Everyone enjoyed the meal. The wait staff was very good. Food came hot and tasty. Great spot to visit for an excellent time. The calzone special with ricotta cheese was very good. The white pizza was excellent. Heard good things about the...
