71 West Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Hume

Keep trying to find something to go back for. Local , small business. Again just last night I was there with my cousin. We sat at the bar with about half a dozen other people. The attached open dining room had two tables that I could see. One young man at the bar , I was sitting next to,was having his drinks and playing pool. He had a very hard time with the F word , was his favorite. Offensive to me . The same young man was very helpful to the bartender , getting beer for her coolers and other helpful things. Again the same young man kept going behind the bar when the bartender was somewhere else, turning the music up so loud , my cousin and I had to yell just to converse. No waitress, that was the bartender' s job as well . It was bad from the start , nice girl , young , cute and personable. Best combo for a great employee ummmmmm no , they must also have a sense of timing , remember ALL of your patrons, not just cute young flirtatious guys. Literally waited more than 15 minutes before we got drinks that I asked for. She was talking to the helpful young man right next to me about the coloring of her hair (not kidding ) etc. I was actually getting angry . I interrupted her and asked for drinks. Very sweet , but she cannot do two things at once , truly the first time I've ever witnessed it . I ordered a Philly cheese steak for myself , with a salad. and because of how long we had already waited I told her I would be taking an order to go as well. Cousin had a burger , actually advertised fresh beef , but it tasted freezer burnt. The beef on Philly steaks was cooked beyond recognition . I really felt sorry for the girl , not an organized person , wearing a lot of hats at one time. All in all another...

Not much good to say about this place as far as the restaurant side of it. Menu looked great online so figured we'd give it a shot. Took over 10 minutes to even get acknowledged. The lady that finally took our order literally had to lean against the wall to take our order because she was so drunk/stoned. After an hour of waiting, half our table of 4 had their appetizers. After asking the high/drunk waitress where the other food was she told us the cook was putting it in now......one hour and 10 minutes of waiting later FOR APPETIZERS. We told her to cancel the rest of our order and to give us the check for the two items we received. We paid cash because I wouldn't trust that lady with a credit card of mine at all. I would steer clear of this place if you're looking for a nice meal. Only thing I'd get there is a beer, they can't mess that...

Had a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich…was not Franks Hot Sauce, chicken was most likely microwaved because it had that taste to it, days old hamburger bun instead of a brioche type. Fries looked fresh cut, but had a freezer burn taste to them. Prices way off compared to food quality. Looked at menu before arriving and prices suggested a higher class restaurant with great food. This place had napkins under one leg of every table because they were all not level and they all rocked when trying to cut with a knife. Paper tablecloths very unpleasant also. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and my wife had 5 boneless wings that she said were terrible. Won’t ever be going...
