Actually three and a half Stars. Good quality food but not worth the price. We ordered a couple of burgers, I got the slamburger which is supposed to be lamb meat, but the lamb flavor was barely discernible, it must have been mixed with beef. It was cooked perfectly though. $14+ $1 for adding cheese, (and if you wanted more toppings they were each a dollar to $2 a piece), for a burger that was the same size or smaller than a McDonald's quarter pounder was definitely not worth it. Comes with a side of macaroni salad. Let me rephrase that, comes with a forkful of macaroni salad. The size of the portion was the same size as a ketchup cup you used to get at a fast food restaurant. Extremely skimpy portions for the price. Traveled 4-5 miles to try it. Won't be doing that again.
Reply to Response: Thank you for replying, Your ingredients, the quality, the service and preparation were fine, but without exaggeration, the macaroni salad and coleslaw side was one forkful. If anyone is not eating your sides, it's because they just didn't want them since a taste would finish the serving. We were too far away to drive back for an additional side. Perhaps if we dined there that could have happened. Either way, for nearly $16 for a burger, I expected a much larger portion and I'm not a glutton. I wish you...
Read moreKind of a bummer and I'm sad to write potentially their first negative review.
The good: The beers. We had the stout and the hefeweizen. Sustainability. They use compostable plates, cups, utensils. Their veggies are organic.
The bad: Visually, it struggles with an identity. Bright blue floors and tiles clash with plastic bats stuck to the ceiling. No other bats in sight! I ordered some guacamole and was told they were making 'a fresh batch just for me.' I was happy to know it would be extra fresh. Unfortunately, I got chopped avocado mixed with garlic and onions but missing the tomatoes described on the menu. He then took a precooked and pre-portioned mac and cheese from the window to heat up for my entree. My husband ordered a smash burger with cheese and some oven fried potatoes. My mac was very small for $9.50. My husband's burger patty was small enough to be served on an English muffin and the side of macaroni salad was exactly 1 forkful. They forgot to add cheese. They forgot about our potatoes. The server informed us "there was a communication issue." I really want to like this place but there's a lot that needs...
Read moreMy wife and I have lived in Huntington for a few years & are avid fans of breweries & trying new restaurants. We had heard about Blind Bat for some time but never made the effort to drive over. We finally had time this past weekend and made it in on a Sunday afternoon. We started with the pretzel with mustard, really really good! Then we moved on to the pierogis and they were all delicious (both savory & sweet varieties) and the flights of beer were an added bonus to really get a chance to try all of the different offerings the brewery had. We also ended up with a chick pea wrap, which was equally as impressive as the other food offerings. Everything tasted so fresh & clearly home made, A+ to the team here for putting a lot of effort to make high quality food and drink.
More importantly than either the food or drink was the warm and welcoming reception we had by the owner, who was beaming with positivity and happily explained all the different types of food and drink. Really made us feel welcome & like we had been going there for ages. Would certainly come back and recommend everyone to go check it out as...
