Heron Park — Attraction in Town of Huntington

You can take a nice walk across the bridge and back. Mill pond is on the right side of the bridge. Keep an eye out for the famous Bald eagle couple of Long Island! It's a small park with a good view. Parking is difficult. The parking lot is puny and can fill up on the weekends quickly. Roads are very narrow.

If you're a bird watcher bring some binoculars or a big lens and you have a nice view of the water. Bigger birds like hawks or as the namesake goes, Heron's are common.
