Let me start off by saying this place is amazing, Lexi and Pete are the best, they are attentive and take good care of my husband and I when we come here, and we are frequent patrons seeing we literally live a minute away lol! Well last night New Years Eve, my husband and I decided to hop over for an early dinner and a couple drinks, needless to say we were very, very disappointed in the food! My husband ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger and he wanted it very rare, well it was medium rare! He's not one to make a fuss, so he ate it anyway! I ordered the Seafood Boil, it was terrible, the lobster tail was way over cooked, so Lexi got me a new one, and that one was like rubber, the mussels were shriveled up and tasted like dirt, potatoes were undercooked, shrimp was like eating rubber also, the only thing that actually tasted good was the 2 Scallops I got, now this meal was $28, so not with it. I ate it because I am not "that person"! I don't know who our server was, but she was also terrible, not once did she check on us and mind you it was early, and she only had our table and one other, so she wasn't busy! Needless to say I came there hungry and left starving!! I hate to write such a bad review because normally we have a great experience and the food is amazing, but the chef last night really dropped the ball, and needless to say it was an epic fail. I believe Lexi said his name was Tony. Now mind you this has no reflection on Lexi or Pete, because those two are always friendly...

Called for reservations at 3 pm... The bartender answered and said they didn't open until four. We arrived at 3:45 and saw that they had been open since three.

When I called, I asked for reservations on the patio and the bartender said that they don't take reservations for the patio, it's first come first serve.

When we arrived we chose to sit at a table on the patio underneath the awning because our little guy has autism and the bright sunlight is too much for him.

We went to the bar and asked them for a server because we had been sitting there for fifteen minutes and no one approached our table. The bartender told us that the table we were at isn't available for service. She added that all the other tables on the deck were reserved. But when I called she said that you couldn't place a reservation for the deck it was first come first serve.

So I said that we had a reservation and gave her our name ....but she refused to let us sit at a table out of the sun even though the table was literally six feet from the table we "reserved" and the server had to walk by it to get to the table we reserved.

We left and went elsewhere. It was the third time that we went and were less than thrilled with the staff every time. We...

i'll tell you what. this bar and grill is the best place i think i've ever stepped foot in in my life. i am saddened to say that i live over 100 miles away from this establishment. i would be here every night if i could.

me and my friends all got different things on the menu and let me tell you. not one item missed the mark. the chef COOKED in more ways than one. and everything was so wonderfully priced. i saw the prices and i swear i said "wonderful." and they'll make good leftovers too because the portions were more than generous!

the waitress was so attentive and she called us all her loves which made me feel valued and love. she was so enthusiastic to be serving us tonight. her enthusiasm made ME enthusiastic about writing this here review. i'm literally writing this while still sat at my table. she SERVED in more ways than one.

We came on the perfect night. not too busy, not too hot, and a cool breeze flowing across my skin, hinting at the gentle fall air to come. if you sit outside, you have a great view of the lake too.

i can't wait to come back...

Visited this place on a whim for dinner after exploring Chimney Bluffs State Park. Big menu, food was good. I ordered chicken caprese and hubby ordered seafood cake. Both were really good, however my chicken was a little overcooked and dry but the pesto and cheese made up for it. Ordered cajun fries but they were just reg fries with a very little bit of cajun seasoning, a little disappointed, almost similar to the regular fries. I expected a spicier more seasoned fry. Ranch is bomb with house salad but the Caesar dressing on the salad was not good at all- barely tasted like Caesar, tasted a bit sour, more like a vinigarette with a weird aftertaste. Overall, we enjoyed it as we were really hungry from being outdoors all day, would come back. Would of been 5 stars if not for those little picky things with the food. Service was nice, we dined on the porch outside. Family friendly, and they have a kids menu too with the usual stuff.

Found Riley's on Google maps after hiking the trails at Chimney Bluffs State Park. I was happy to learn that my dog was allowed to join us on the outside deck while my family and I had dinner. My kids ordered 12" pizzas, which looked delicious (I tried some of their cup pepperoni toppings, and they were great). I had a Philly cheese steak, and it was very good. Our waitress was friendly, the service was a little slow, but I think that the place was just getting busy when we arrived. Surprisingly good food, conveniently close to the park to sum it up!
