Country Pride — Restaurant in Town of Kirkwood

So we just had a horrible experience! We went in after a long day of driving and we were very excited to get steak. We got the salad bar with our dinner so we went up to the salad bar and the lettuce was brown and spinach was welted. Veggies look like they have been sitting there all day. The noodle pasta was gross and dry. Their soup however was great so I will give them that. The salad with all things aside wasnt all that bad either. Then we got our food and one was not cooked even for rare it was more like raw. So I asked her to cook it a little longer and I also asked for no gravy on my potatoes and when they sent it back they put gravy on them and both were very cold. Now the steak was overcooked and dry. So at this point I'm extremely irritated. We also ordered milk and I took one sip and it was the grossest thing I have ever tasted in my life! We told her (shift manager) we did not like it and she asked if there was anything else that we wanted and after the milk it made me so nauseous I just stuck to water. Then our server dawn came out just to reassure us that the milk wasnt bad just cheap with a funny taste! What does that say? Then I hear dawn ask the manager if she can take the milk off the order and she said "no" we had to pay for it. Even though they all said that it was funny tasting and cheap. We get the check and they still had the milk on there and I said something to dawn that it was still on there and asked her to take it off she told me no bc we didn't get anything else so she had to charge us. Which anywhere you go they take it off if you don't like it but she refused and said that she called the store manager and she said no. Because it didn't expire. I feel like this is one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time and I don't reccomend this place at all! If you read previous reviews it seems to be a common thing! Especially with dawn. She to went out for a smoke break and forgot about us along with her daughter the shift leader! Poor staff if you ask me!! Will not be...

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! RIP OFF!!! Me and my husband stopped by while we were on break last night. Our server name was Dawn, we both ordered the fish dinner mine I got fried, which came with the salad bar. Before our meal came we both decided to have a salad(lettuce, tomato, cheese and croutons). After our 1 bowl of salad our food comes. MY FISH WAS HORRIBLE!!! It was so soggy and mushy...just gross, I've never had fried fish that was mushy, it taste like they soaked it in water for forever. So while my husband sat and ate his grilled fish I had nothing to eat because my waitress decided to go on a cigarette break after she dropped our food off. About 20 min later she finally returns and I tell her what's wrong with my food, and ask her if she can just take it off(since I didn't eat any of it) and just charge me for the bowl of salad. Ms Dawn decided instead of changing me for the 1 bowl of salad I had, she was going to charge me $10 for the entire salad bar😤😤. I didn't have pasta, or soup or anything else...just 1 bowl of salad. $10.50 for 1 bowl of lettuce with tomatoes cheese and croutons. Such a RIP OFF!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN...WARNING THEY ARE A RIP...

Weekdays usually good service. Twice recently on the weekend I have been in to eat. The server is a young blonde girl,she is either lazy or was not trained right. 1 trip soup arrived with the meal usually soup comes before the meal. 2nd trip she had not made iced tea yet but was sitting down looking at her phone. 3 people in the restaurant and you can't take my order in a timely manner? I got up and walked out. Sad that most of the younger generation does not know what good service is! I always know if my server is 60 or 70 years old I'll be taken care of well.
