We've driven by several times before and this place always seemed very busy, so when we had family in town we called and made a reservation for four at 6:45 this evening. We arrived about 5 minutes late due to traffic, but were shown promptly to our table. That was the only good thing about the service we received for the evening.
We ended up waiting for about 15 minutes to place an order for drinks and had to flag down a hostess to do so. Five minutes later the drinks arrive - two beers, a Shirley Temple, and a mixed drink (Paddock Punch that tasted like Robitussin cough syrup) and that was the last service we had for the evening.
After waiting ten more minutes, we decided that the likelihood of ever being served was low and decided to leave. I approached the hostess and requested our check and received an excuse as to why we weren't served - "sorry, we're just short staffed tonight". There were at least five front of house staff wandering around the restaurant not including bar staff, and it's not an overly large place, so I disagree but whatever.
Long story short, don't waste your money. You'll at least get service and probably even some food if you go to...
Read moreWe dined at this restaurant and brought friends tonight especially for the sauerbraten that was on the menu. I have to tell you I am of German decent and it was the worst attempt at sauerbraten I have ever encountered. Never have I seen rare sauerbraten. Sauerbraten is made as a marinated pot roast. It it tender and well cooked. Impossible to have it come out rare. Their chef is serving tough roast beef with a sour gravy and noodles and passing it off as sauerbraten and speatzle. Please do us all a favor and take it off the menu until they have a chef who knows how to cook speatzle ( which is cheap to make and much better homemade) and sauerbraten. We were highly disappointed at a waste of good money for a dinner out. Yes we did bring it to the waitresses attention and told her there is no way to make rare sauerbraten. Her answer was “I have no idea about that I can cook it, more if you want“. I told her you can’t turn roast beef into pot roast! I was thoroughly embarrassed that we talked our friends into going for sauerbraten. One in our group had a steak which was good. They need to stick to what they know.. I did message them on Facebook and received...
Read moreWhat a nightmare. The food was so bad and the service somehow even worse. The ONLY exception being their cowboy wings, which were very good. We ate dinner later at night and there were very few people. Our server was not only never there, when she did arrive she managed to mess up our orders forget to bring drinks out for 30 plus minutes. When we were ready to leave we had to go to the bar to get our check to leave because our waitress WOULD NOT COME OVER at that point we were her only table. The food was awful, the most expensive dish on the menu was their seafood pasta dish which came with imitation crab instead of the promised “crab” there was no seasoning on all 4 of the dishes we got. I ordered steak sliders because they didn't have BURGERS ANYMORE. My bread was basically water it was so disintegrated by the time it arrived at the table. The french dip was so bad it was inedible and was not touched. It is such a cute place and the patio is adorable but that is where the good ends. SAVE yourself the trip and stay home. If you want wet bread sliders just set a pot to boil and throw a loaf in and put 2 slices of steak as the...
