Old Tymes Cafe — Restaurant in Town of LaFayette

We stopped by on our way home to Rochester and we are so glad we did! The atmosphere was classic hometown diner, full of people talking and enjoying their food. The service was amazing, you could tell the waitress had her work cut out for her keeping an eye on all the tables but managed to still provide fast and genuine service. And the FOOD my goodness, it was delicious! So many places have switched to things like Sysco and buy premade things. Not this diner. The homemade sausage? Delicious! The bread from a local bakery? Insane! And the home fries were perfectly seasoned. The serving sizes were really good for the price and we ended up with plenty of leftovers to enjoy later at home. Very quaint and relaxed atmosphere. Service was extremely friendly and quick. This cafe was filled with regulars, and you know that because the person running it knew people on a first name basis... I have to say that the food was phenomenal, and the fact that everything is prepared in-house rather than coming from some pre-packed goods. Great food at a very fair price and friendly staff. Everything I ordered came out perfect and quickly. I ordered eggs with cheddar cheese ham bacon toast and home fries with onion all for 15 buck with juice and coffee. The onions were so flavorful and cooked just right. :) Love that they sell hand made soaps there as well and all the pies are home made.
