This was a decent choice and improvement over the previous tenant [Sgmbati's]. What took more than 6mths to complete, Mexico Lindo has arrived here in De Pere. They have another location in Howard as well. We showed up around 6:30 PM on a Thursday and were able to be seated immediately. That was great. The place was very clean, the restaurant was less busy, but the bar area was hopping! The host, waiter and waitress with the guac cart were all very great people. Served/Attended to with a smile and quickness. My wife got a prickly pear margarita, I, water. The margarita was great tasting and they even decorated-up the glass nicely with an orchid and slice of pineapple. We noticed they had a back patio with elegant fountain but nothing was out there for seating. I think it'd be very nice to get that opened up for folks to enjoy. Seems like they're missing a great opportunity there. Overall good experience. Best things here are the great staff, cozy atmosphere and some decent entrees. A couple things that I noticed: --For a Mexican restaurant, food was very expensive . The margarita was $12.41, the house enchiladas with beef was $18.63, my quesadilla la Texana with pork was $16.56 and the tableside guac was $12. The menu had the tableside guac as "Market Price" which seemed funny to me-- "Market Price" is typically reserved for fish and steak, items where stuff truly is impacted by availability, the market, and the economy in big dollar amounts. Just my opinion, but avocados aren't that big of an item to be called "market price." Sorry. --That back patio...man...missing that opportunity...would have loved to sit out there --Service was too fast, haha. Yes, my wife got a couple sips of her margarita and whammo, food was there. Depending on the nature of your visit, this is good or bad --My arroz mexicana wasn't fluffy. I suppose I got spoiled at another nearby Mexican restaurant whose rice always arrives fluffy. --I got burned, but didn't say anything because it wasn't severe, on the temperature of my plate. Considering I had an quesadilla, not an enchilada, I assumed i could rotate my plate with bare hands and I put my bad hand to turn -ouch! I was fine after a few minutes.
**Wishing them the best in their new location....

The food was really good but just some things to note. I don’t see a lot of reviews on here with actual food reviews so I figured I’d go into a little more detail on ours. We would definitely come here again and try other meals!!! Everyone was so nice and overall really good food.
The chips and salsa were yummy but the chips were just a little too thick for my liking. For a meal I got the birria tacos and I’ve never gotten a less amount of meat in a birria taco than at this place. But it was very cheesy and did have a good flavor. The rice was also very vibrant orange makes me wonder what kind of dyes were used to get it that bright… could be nothing but just makes me curious. The beans and rice were really good!! Honestly hard to mess up haha. I got the coconut marg and it was very sweet, so definitely don’t get that unless you’re ready for a dessert in a drink. I should have known better honestly. My fiancé got the steak don pepe, which he really liked but said the steak was lacking seasoning/flavor. His favorite part was the sautéed jalapeños and onions on the side. He also got a jalapeño margarita and loved...
Read moreWas having a rough day and my husband and I decided to come get some comfort food to cheer us up. Our server, Renaye, was so kind and cheerful and brought our frowns upside down. She recommended their bowls, and boy were they delicious! Loved that they have some one available to make table side guacamole. We did not ask for that but something to try next time we come in. Employees were friendly and smiling.
Had elote, too, as an app, it's difficult to find really good, classic elote in the area so I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I enjoyed the "champagne papi" margarita, which was also yummy.
Ended the evening with fried ice cream. Turned a bittersweet celebration into a happy one. We will be back. Thank...
