Prevo’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Lenox

After a matinee at the Oneida Theatre, we needed dinner and a google search led us to try Prevo's. According to google, we would be there at their busiest time and to expect a 15 minute wait.

We pulled into the large car park which was pretty full. The restaurant is the iconic diner style, which we love. They have some booths at the front of the buildings and tables in the back.

When we walked in, we spotted some friends we haven't seen in a long time but as their dinner was being served, we chatted very briefly but long enough for them to recommend the shrimp corn chowder, which is apparently a Friday special.

We waited about 10 minutes or so - i didn't time it - and saw the server wipe the chicken and biscuits special off the board. It was getting toward their closing time of 8pm.

The husband was especially hungry and he ordered the soup. He chowed a bowl of it and said it was really good so we were glad of the suggestion. He also got the fish dinner and i ordered the mushroom-Swiss burger along with a side of onion rings. All were piping hot and tasty. No dessert was offered but that was ok, i don't need it anyways.

Let me start by saying how immaculately clean this restaurant is! From the dining room into the kitchen, we couldn't find anything not shiny and bright. The service was awesome, with our waitress taking the time to know us and getting our questions answered. We met the cook, btw...owner with the waitress, and he stated that he never buys or cooks anything that he wouldn't enjoy eating. The menu was just right. It had the right diversity. Now the food! Everyone of us left full and had an hour conversation about how everything tasted on the way home. Kudos to you, keep up the great work. We are from Rhode Island and plan to visit...

We happened upon Prevo’s while looking for nearby food driving the interstate and my goodness was it the right call to stop!! Everything was beyond delicious, generous portions, fair pricing, the place was cute and clean, and the people were so nice! There’s plenty of seating and plenty of parking as well.

It’s worth noting that they are cash only, however there is an ATM on site if needed!
