Mama Chavez's Taqueria in Leroy, New York is simply amazing. From the excellent service at the counter, to fresh and delicious cooking in the kitchen, to fantastic food at the table, I really enjoyed my Saturday afternoon dinner here. The family is pleasant and generous, and the food delivers. The salsa was a bit different than what I am used to, but was really fresh and good. I need to try it again. I really liked it. We were in the area and randomly picked a restaurant…this was fabulous! Small town, personal service, excellent food. I can’t have tomatoes so no salsa for me, but the waiter assured me the guacamole had no tomatoes in it👏. It was the most flavorful guacamole ever!!! I got the veggie bowl, the veggies were raw (not sautéed in tons of oil), those raw jalapeños were it!!❤️. Great flavor, quick service. My husband got the “El Jefe” burritto😂. It was huge!! Wanted Mexican tonight but wanted to see what other options were out there and this came up in the results. The wife and I thought we would give it a try as we both like Mexican (we even got married in Mexico). We got some Flautas and Tacos not expecting too much but were blown away. Out of all the Mexican restaurants I have been to this was by the far most authentic and knocked it out of the park. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place if you live in the area and like Mexican food. The wife and I may have found a new staple and she may even going back tomorrow...
