Have been coming here for years, but have not visited since under new ownership until last Saturday. We pleased to see the updates/remodel efforts! Looking very nice! Seated promptly, given our choice of tables, which was very nice. Menu has changed slightly since the last time we visited. Seemed a bit smaller than before, but plenty to choose from still. I ordered Eggplant Parm, one of my favorite dishes, husband had the broiled fish- cajun style. The portions here are absolutely HUGE. My dish had three gigantic slices of eggplant, which completely covered the bed of pasta it was served on. I did have a choice as far as the cut of pasta and opted for angel hair. Food arrived hot, without too long of a wait. Fresh bread was served, and we both had a choice of soup or salad to go with it. Husband said fish was outstanding- the piece of fish took up the entire oblong shaped platter. He opted for angel hair on the side as well. He raved about the meal.... My meal was really good, however I didn't care for the sauce. Let me preface this by saying I am not used to sauce that is sweet, like sugar was added. I prefer a more savory option. It was good, just not my personal preference. If you enjoy a sweeter pasta sauce- this is your place- you will love it! We will most certainly return as it was an enjoyable experience, the food was...
Read moreMy husband and I went there about 3 months ago on a Friday Night and had an excellent waitress. Was super friendly and went above and beyond. Her name is Brinn. That night I had a fish fry and mash potatoes and the meal was horrible! We continued going every Friday night so we can see her. The second time I ordered the pot roast French dip and it was EXCELLENT the best I ever tasted! I continued ordering the french dip on Fridays and one Friday I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was awful. My husband was getting there cheeseburgers and he enjoyed them. He did order a bourbon chicken meal and he couldn't eat it because it was so spicy. The menu never stated that it was spicy! Brinn made sure and took care of our food and made it right. Also, we told my mother in law about this place and she ordered 4 meals to go and I picked it up for her and they were all wrong but the receipt was right. ( I guess they didn't know how to read) Brinn was not working that night it was a Thursday night. We went in about 2 weeks ago and heard she was no longer working there. We will no longer go there because she is no longer there. We found out she as let go for know reason but i just found out where she is and now we will go and see her on Friday nights where I know she will...
Read moreI went to Settler's with two couples. There was only one waitress at lunch time that I saw. This woman was working like crazy. We waited 20+ minutes to order, which we understood. When the food came I was disappointed with my Greek salad. The salad had kalamata olives with pits and I wasn't warned about that. Most restaurants I have dined at have pitless olives. The Greek dressing was awful, no flavor, taste or spices. Another woman ordered a grilled tuna and cheese sandwich and it was dripping with butter. She could only force down one half. Obviously, the person at the grill did not know what they were doing and put too much butter, or whatever they use, on the bread. The acoustics in there are terrible. More people came in as we received our lunches and it was difficult to converse among us. Our waitress was fantastic but the lunches were bad...
