La Familia Of Vista — Restaurant in Town of Lewisboro

This review is only representative of the new location in Oak Ridge. This store is a joke. In the last week I have had two negative experiences, tonight much more disappointing than the first. I walked into the restaurant shortly after 7:30 to a virtually empty place and no pizza ready and was told it'd be another 10 minutes before a pizza would be ready. On top of no pizza being ready, no pizza rolls where ready, no garlic knots, NOTHING. It was as if the two people working decided no one was coming in on a Monday night so they weren't going to bother with making anything. Now some might be reading and thinking "maybe it was a busy night". I can assure you I took that into account, and considering the place looked spotless, I concluded that the lack of pizza was because of laziness. As a pizza place it is ridiculous not to have any pizza slices ready to serve at 7:30pm. I ended up walking out since two other families with children came in and they were only making one cheese pizza. Clearly they need to hire people who understand the restaurant business as they have done in their other successful locations. La Familia is a chain pizza place. They have locations at Oakridge Commons in Vista (dine in only!), Cross River and Pound Ridge in my area. Other locations too. I really like the Pound Ridge location! Their food is always fresh and tasty. The people are friendly. The Vista location has an attractive dining area. They also offer mini bottles of wine, coffee, ice cream. Cooked dishes are really good and the pizza selections are truly tasty. Very decent salads and excellent tasting dressing. The house balsamic is very homey. The cheesecake and tiramisu desserts taste great, but tend to be smallish slices. This place ain't cheap, but the food is good! They add a fee if you use a credit card, plus $3 delivery fee. Plus you need to still tip the delivery person. It gets expensive. BUT, I am always very satisfied with...

ALL of the La Familia's are now different owners franchises. The BEST is Katonah, especially for food. I normally drive to Katonah from Vista because the pizza and food are so much better!!!

I called the VISTA location in the early afternoon (1 p.m.) of an evening snow storm (7 p.m.), and I called for them to make me 4 slices of Sicilian, they didn't have any and This worker was LAZY and told e NO. the old owner would make me a half of a Sicilian pie, once a week for my children. I walked in 30 minutes later and asked for Sicilian from the back of the shop the guy screamed we dont have any (LAZY)
