We went into this place for the first time today because of the Enchanted Mountains Tourism magazine, and if I could give it negative stars, I would. Upon entering the restaurant, nobody greeted us. We stood at the bar for several minutes, still nobody greeted us. We went and sat down, looked over the menu, still nobody greeted us for at least seven minutes. Finally, the older blonde waitress and/ or bartender, whatever she is, came to our table and asked if we wanted any drinks. We told her waters with lemon, which she seemed irritated we didn’t get alcoholic drinks( besides the point). She took our order. Another family came into the restaurant and left because they also weren’t being served. Keep in mind that about thirty minutes had passed since she brought us the water and took our orders. Another couple came in about twenty minutes after us. They got their food before us. This place sucks. The service sucks. The food does look halfway decent. A little communication could go a LONG way. She could have told us, “Hey, we are busy. There’s a wait. Anything.” But she did none. She didn’t have a problem serving the drunks at the bar, though. We sat for a little over an hour and we walked out. I hope that food came out as soon as we walked out!! I hate to give local businesses a negative review, and I have never just walked out of a restaurant, but this place is deserving of this review. Hire new staff or hire more staff. If this place is just a bar, don’t cook, and sure as hell don’t advertise in a...
Read moreStopped in this place because it was listed in a tourism magazine and the food looked good. Walking in there was nothing that said seat yourself or wait. We walked up to the bar and were ignored by the older blonde bartender for a couple minutes, looking around you could see menus on the table so we decided to seat ourself. It took about 15 minutes before the woman came over to the table asking what we wanted to drink. We told her 2 waters with lemon which seemed to irritate her. When she came back we placed our orders. The place seemed busy, a lot of people walking in picking up food, a few more tables around us filled up. We ended up waiting for a little over a hour. Never did she come to check on us, no apologies or explanation on the wait and definitely no water refills in the hour or more that we waited. What made us get up and walk out was the table next to us, who arrived about 20 minutes after us got their pizza. The bartender/waitress walked right by us, no asking if we need anything, no apologies on the wait,...

Visited the Hughes Hotel on a whim (or rather a quick Google search) this past weekend, when I had a wicked craving for wings.
The drive from E-ville to the Hughes is an easy 15 minute drive to Little Valley, and it is well worth it.
The interior is a tad dated but very comfortable and inviting, like a proper tavern/bar/pub should be. The staff was friendly, helpful and pleasantly chatty.
No beer on tap, so bottled Yuengling was an easy choice. However, the wings were the star of the show. Ordered the suicide and the hot garlic, and while the suicide were decently spicy, the garlic ones were amazing! Very large and meaty, saucy without being too drenched, properly crispy and superbly cooked ... best wings in a long time.
We shall return, upon our next cottage weekend ... and I will bring reinforcements to enjoy the superb offerings at the...
