Lake House Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Machias

I never leave reviews but tonight was my families first and last visit. Went for dinner and had a very kind waitress. Ended up leaving because the music was a little loud for my youngest but really nice. Sad part was 3 of five items wrong. Got half the order and waited half hour for the rest. Got home opened our meals my fish fry with fries and Mac salad was all I got. No cole slaw, tartar sauce, salad or dinner roll. So I go back down for my missing items and am handed a take out container with the tarter, roll, and more Mac salad. I ask where the salad and cole slaw were. The young girl that works behind the bar was like oh we r out of cole slaw and I’m like okay where’s the rest of what I ordered. Nonchalant and unappreciative of the business I finally was like I’ll just take the salad and tarter sauce so I can go. Got a teenage eye roll and a sorry. Get home to find my son didn’t get the fries he ordered and the jacked up burger had no onion rings. Sad. Nice place ... but won’t go back after the horrible customer service I received when I went back to pick up my missing items. But the original waitress was excellent and would do well in any food...

Ordered 5 chicken finger dinners for take out. Came to 60.00. Came home and these fingers were the size of a credit card! No exaggeration! Very hard to eat bc they were basically breading. Called, and the reply was “thats all they had” and to come get more for free. Not sure where they were going to get more from when that is all they had left. A cook should know not to send a paying customer away with bite sized chicken fingers. I understand restaurants have to make it this day and age but so do paying customers. Unacceptable to hand this...

Lake house crew - y’all rock! Between the food and customer service you always go above and beyond to meet your costumer’s expectations. We order once a week and never have been let down. I don’t know who the cook is but thank you for always making our food perfecto lol and to the bartender’s thanks for always having a smile when I walk through the door.
