Waiting a day to celebrate our anniversary was absolutely worth it because we were fortunate enough to get reservations at the North Country’s hottest new restaurant! The Blue House finally opened for in person dining and we couldn’t be happier for them. . The atmosphere is beautiful and understated and classy and relaxed. The food? Let me tell you. Beyond outstanding. From the house made sour cherry lime soda to whipped beet butter French radish sea salt starter with delicious honey wheat bread to the generous portions of the calamari starter to our main course. Josh got the fire-roasted meatloaf with a potato cake, homemade ketchup, and onion crisps. I had the zucchini rigatoni with homemade pesto and ricotta. . The best part though? The service. Walking in the door, you immediately have a front row seat to the main event - Josh and his crew, cooking up a storm with a beautiful wood-fired oven as the back drop. Alicia and the servers were friendly, super quick, and focused on making the guest experience an unforgettable one. It was a great night and I look forward to many more. . I almost forgot! After all that food, we were too full for dessert so we brought home one of Brad’s Chocolate Cakes - layers of chocolate cake, cinnamon whipped cream, all topped with a chocolate ganache. It’s in my fridge waiting for me and I’m pretty excited about it. . All that to say - GO TO THE BLUE HOUSE! It’s amazing.

We were really excited to try TBH. Im not sure if they were just having an off night but we left very disappointed. I would have loved to discuss it with our server but sadly he never did check on us. I had to ask for the check and I was expecting him to ask us how our meal was so I could give my personal feed back. Instead he seemed annoyed, gave us the card reader and walked away to get boxes. He didnt ask to refill our drinks. The only time he came over to the table was to take our order and drop off food. We decided to focus on sushi tonight as it is a huge part of their menu. It changes weekly which im always engaging on Facebook because I love supporting my community . In my honest opinion . The sushi was pretty bad. The crab sushi had a very strong ammonia aroma, I didnt even finish or bring it home it smelled off. The shrimp tempura we ordered tasted like chicken for some reason. It didnt seem like a true tempura batter. I love lox, and I just didnt love the cream cheese that was in it, it was over powering even the beet cured salmon. The puffball was ok. Its mushroom so it shrinks quiet a bit when cooked and you can see in the photo it was basically breading. I dont think I will order the sushi again but I am eager to return and try their appetizers and main dishes.

FOLKS!! This place is a MUST!! Stop looking anywhere else for a phenomenal meal & a top notch customer experience! This is your place! My son and my friend went for brunch. Upon entering we were greeted with a smiling, cheerful hostess. She seated us and we were served throughout the courses by at least 3 additional waitstaff members- all of which were delightful and catering to us as if we were the only guests in the place! The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. The coffee was poured in an oversized mug and was compliments of a local coffee maker in Potsdam, NY. Kudos to GOOD COFFEE! Our apps & meals were wow'ing and unlike anything else in the North Country. Every aspect was on point. We will be back! Thank you for going above and beyond to serve us and the community. P.S.-- The Chef's are right there at the exit area to send you off with a warm exit and signs of smile and appreciation. Your Mamas raised you right!!!

So Saturday night was my first experience with the blue house and I shared that experience with a few friends from downstate, lets just say the service and customer care was phenomenal, I called to order dinner and apps for 4 people with an hour left before they closed with no hassle, not to mention the very professional young lady who received my order, directly took my order to the chef to verify it could be fulfilled being so late in the evening and they said it would not be an issue, I arrived to receive a very warm welcome and let me tell you if the service doesn't keep you coming back the food will, the buttermilk walleye was perfection, the combinations and flavor profiles of the watermelon salad where unique and delicious, and the sliced top round was unique in the aspect that the flavor came out in layers with hidden profiles throughout one minute it was beef on weck with horseradish then it was smokey like good brisket, not your typical north country kitchen food , this is real deal hands down top shelf quality farm to table art work , OH AND THE BLUE CORNBREAD!!!!! is hands down the best cornbread I've have ever indulged, sorry grandma 🤫 I will definitely become a regular now that I...
