Big Jay's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Marcy

I was in the Utica area briefly today for work and came across Big Jay's Pizzeria. I'm a big time pizza lover, and my co-worker who's originally from down state is quite the pizza connoisseur himself. We stopped in for some quick slices and were thoroughly impressed all around. The girls behind the counter were all extremely friendly and accommodating, and the slices were some of the best I've had. Between us we tried the tomato pie, upside down, and a white slice, I believe it was garlic. The slices were big and at a great price.

Unfortunately, I live about a couple hours away from Big Jays, so it's not something I'll be able to enjoy regularly. However, if they were in my area they'd absolutely be my go to spot. Whether you're in their neighborhood or just passing through town as I was, I highly recommend stopping in, you won't be disappointed. I'm not a big review guy at all, but the service and product were both compelling enough for me to wanna share...

Every time I have been to Big Jay's the employees are all smiling and friendly! The entire place including the kitchen and prep areas are spotless! Even the hoods/vents over the cooking areas are spotless! Everything is always stocked and the employees are always cleaning. This place and the owner are obviously fun to work at/with because the atmosphere is very pleasant!

As for the food? I have tried numerous specialty pizzas, regular topping pizzas and the wings. All have been exactly as ordered and DELICIOUS! Food has been extremely consistent. If I'm being honest, there are other pizza shops in the area that I have been a loyal customer of for years, but after all the positive experiences I have had here and the quality of the food I have received, I've been finding it difficult to go anywhere else!!!

The customer service by Mike and Joe at the Marcy location (Jay too just havent seen him lately when picking up bc of fixing up Rome) is TOP NOTCH!! If you ever have an issue with something maybe being incorrect they go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure it is corrected and that you know as a customer that you and your business means something to them!! The food is AMAZING and they make sure of it! They deserve more than a pat on the back for keeping that place above standard and anyone that for some crazy reason hasnt tried them yet need to do so NOW! Just a word of advice if you order online and have special requests MAKE SURE you cover behind and just call up and bring thier attention to it bc the section I found out is really "delivery instructions" so You're being specific about something just call up to make sure it's made the way...
