Went there for Easter dinner... for the 170 we spent between drinks and food.... it wasn't worth it. We had 3 drink each and it was 70 at the bar and there was 2 of us drinking and 2 of us were drinking soda...then we wait forever and we were like okay maybe because it's Easter they are busy... mind u we made reservations weeks before.... so they pull us back almost 30 mins late past our reservation... well we get back there and it's not even packed or full! There are tons of open tables everywhere. Okay whatever... then we get buns in a basket... 4 cold buns that we're literally from the grocerystore. Not even warmed nothing... okay we get passed all that. Then we order our food. For the prices of the food you def don't get much... the brosted chicken was dry as ever. The steaks were good. But u get a super Lil steak even at 12oz and the baked potato that came with it was burned on the bottom and none of their meals are cheap. Except the ayce brosted chicken. The waitress never came to recheck on us. We get done eating what we can she finally brings us our check. I haven't been there in years. This was my first time back and it wasn't anything like I remembered. Also not to mention the building isn't very handicap friendly. My parents have super bad knees and all them stairs just to get into building. And I didn't see a ramp so if u have a wheelchair don't even bother going and wasting ur time. I normally don't give out "bad" reviews because I have worked in customer service for a long time... but the only pleasant part we had was the bartender. She was nice. But everything else wasn't worth it in the end. I could have had all that we ordered bought and cooked at home and it would have been better and cheaper which is what we may have to do now. My dad just wanted to treat us to something nice and special... well I can tell you my parents won't go back and I love eating out and not that they probably are gonna care about my review but I won't be back either. Bur i Will mention it's a beautiful supper club. The location is beautiful. The scenery while you eat is beautiful. The cabins you can sleep in look cute and it's right on a lake. I didn't stay at any cabins or anything so I can't review that. But the location and scenery...
Read moreSteaks were so bad and I will never be coming back The service was pretty good. Friendly and fast service. Now for the rest of a disaster they call a restaurant. They started by asking what we would like to order. My friend and I said the 1 pound sirloin. They asked if we would like onions and mushrooms with the steak. We both said oh yes of course. They bring over 2 rolls right away. Very dry rolls as if it was sitting out for quite sometime. I was walking back to the table after washing my hands and I see the food on the table. First thing I thought was why is there a baked potato on my plate? Well, that was the sirloin. A very grey slab of meat. I looked at it for a second and thought did they bring me chicken. I cut into it and realized that that slab of sadness was indeed the steak. I ordered rare and when I cut into that shameful thing that they considered meat I noticed it was grey all the way through but the texture was what a rare cooked meat should feel like. Absolutely no red in the meat at all and if it was frozen and they were in a hurry to thaw the meat by throwing it into water. The steak was barely warm. I couldn't even cut the meat. The knife turned it into a mushy texture. I still have all my teeth so I like to chew my meats and not have to slurp it through a straw to eat it. The meat also had ZERO seasoning on it. It was just a plain chunk of flesh on a plate that had a very gamey taste. First steak in my life I couldn't even eat. My friend also could force himself to eat it either. Was going to take leftover and put it in the woods so the raccoons could eat it since it was paid for but thought to myself that I could be charged for animal cruelty if I had them eat that garbage. About those onions and mushrooms. They never mentioned that it costs an extra 8.25 dollars...yes, 8.25 for mushrooms soaked in salt brine and fried onions. The mushrooms were saltier than the tears of any customer who dares let their taste buds attempt to decipher as to what they are eating. WORST STEAK I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE.
They should be ashamed of themselves for claiming to have...
Read moreFood is good, but the head hostess has forgotten that we are her GUESTS. I have taken my family here a couple times, as we live in the area. Always have noticed this before too. We went last night , sat. to celebrate my 16 year old daughters birthday .Called in afternoon for reservations and a young lady said they don't take reservations, be early if you want a nice table or window seat. We arrived at 6pm and my wife spoke to the younger hostess while I parked car, we told them we would wait for a nice window table, they said about 30-45 mins. We were willing to wait as it was a special night. Meanwhile I heard the senior hostess say she will seat us now to younger hostess, she called out our name within 15 mins. and said our table was ready, great! She seated us on a 'high traffic' corner table near kitchen doors and entrance, when I said we wanted a window table, she was dismissive and rude. We sat down but got up and went back to lobby to wait for better table. The hostess are RUDE, DISSMISSIVE AND SHORT WITH YOU!! They have forgotten that we are their GUESTS, they are not providing a public service! I was prepared to spend at least $300.00 on a nice meal for the 5 of us We got up and left!. NEVER again will I set foot in your establishment, I will share this experience with everyone I talk to!! I suggest the staff visit a fine restaurant in the Dells, like 'Del bar' or 'Fields' to see how to treat their 'GUESTS'..thats where I took my $325.00 business!!!! If by chance the hostess see's this, you can dismiss this complaint all you want, you need to treat your GUESTS with a little respect, people complain loudest with their wallets! All you had to do was accomadate a customer who WAS willing to wait, instaed you put your potential customer in a bad mood and then expect him to shut up and accept it!! WOW!! Happy customers are why you have a job!! If I conducted my job like you folks.....I would be out of a job in a week!! ...
