I am not one to give bad reviews because bad days happen to us all, but this one needs to be said. I ordered a Medium Greek Salad (see description below from THEIR MENU off their website) Not a single mention of ANCHOVIES yet that's what was LOADED on my salad and I mean LOADED. There were no olives, a few traces of feta, cucumber and tomato and a TON of onions over nasty old lettuce. Sure, oil and vinegar isn't Greek dressing but I could have totally been OK with that. Having already been willing to pay 12.55 dollars for the "medium" salad (should have been described as a super small), I was told that I'd have to pay $6 more for grilled chicken (of course I expect to pay for additions) HOWEVER, a trace amount of tiny cubed chicken for $6 is just not right. The icing on the cake was the "Stuffed Grape Leaf" what it was stuffed with I can't even describe except to say it looked like larva. Our server seemed to be annoyed that I asked if the Iced Tea was a mix or fresh brewed because I can't have the mix for medical reasons so I didn't bother to complain about the food, instead I didn't eat it and she collected a full plate and dropped a check as if we were all beyond satisfied with our meals. I DO NOT recommend and will never go back.

We’re from out of state so you can imagine the excitement we had when we saw the individual WHIPPED BUTTER packets. We’ve never seen them before and think all restaurants should offer them. I loved my breakfast - a good classic french toast with sausage links and homefries. This little joint knows french toast! Not sure where they get their sausage links from, but it was yummy as well. We’d visit again when we’re in the area.

We were in the area and decided to stop for breakfast. With the pandemic, they have every other booth open where the counter seats are. No one is allowed to sit at the counter, which is good. But, these booths are where everyone has to walk by to leave, enter the diner, pick up orders or use the restroom. When customers walk by, they are literally inches away from anyone eating in one of these booths. We should have left. Also, food was just fair, waitress was not friendly and she never came back to ask how our food was or for refills of coffee. When she finally came back it was to put the bill on the table...

Middleburg NY is a quaint town a few miles from Schoharie NY - anothet quaint town.

The diner (located on main street 1 mile from middleburgs town center) looked like it might have once been a Roadhouse.

Once inside, the seating was comfortable and the tables were clean.

The menu, tho simple, was filled with comfort foods.

My meal was perfect in its simplicity. Ham steak and eggs over medium. The coffee was flavorful, and the eggs were truly over MEDIUM.

I was warm with hot food and pleasant service.

A tasty spot...
