The Overflow lounge — Restaurant in Town of Milton

Bella, bartender, was amazing and made you feel at home. The servers were both new and had no idea how to serve tables or take orders. 2 out of 4 orders were wrong, no offer to replace or fix. We had 2 free fish fry specialty cards and the server tried to use it as buy one get one. Thankfully we had free dinners, as the food was not good. The baked fish had no seasoning or flavor. Ordered pan fried cod, got fried cod served to me instead. No flavor, no seasonings, although the breading was light and nice balance to the fish. Coleslaw was just chopped up cabbage, no dressing. Fries were the highlight of the meal, very good. One of the old fashions tasted like cream soda. Really glad I didn’t have to pay for the meal as it was not worth it. Owner or manager- didn’t introduce self, came over and dropped an F bomb and never really apologized for the poor service or meal. Just stated she had been there since 11 by herself. Manager or owner Tried to explain the difference between the fried, baked, and pan fried food. I know the difference! Tried to tell her we didn’t get what we ordered. This place is a dive. The dumpsters are overflowing and fly/bee infested. If their name is referring to the dumpsters, it’s very fitting. You need to walk by them from the parking lot and they are up against the building and stink. We waited an hour for our food today. The food could have been more stars but the fish was a little over fried and my husband’s potato pancakes were so burnt. They were not busy at all. There are cobwebs everywhere and the bathroom was very dirty. The lights were not on so you couldn’t read the menu. Our waitress was not very good. I think she wanted to be only a bar tender and not a waitress. Our bill should have been just under $30 but somehow she charged an extra $10. Very short staffed. We will not be going back and making sure to tell all our friends about it too. How does it pass...

So glad to see this Building get a new lease on life. Stopped in because we used to love the Beacon inn. Well to my surprise this is a total make over! The owners wife is quite artistic. You can tell the place is a "labor of love" HIs enthusiasm is electric and the selection of beefs and Whiskeys are well done. I read over the menu and it looks inventive and appetizing. I will be for certain coming back when he is in full swing.
