Recently stopped at Blueberry Hill when i was in the area. For food, my husband and I ordered the French toast and grilled chicken panini. The French toast didn’t come with fruit and whipped cream as said on the menu. Maybe they were out, not the end of the world. The panini was very good. It’s served on multi-grain bread which was delicious. It got very soggy from all the wet ingredients in the sandwich but didn’t fall apart. The fries also were very good. I mean this in a good way, they had a McDonald’s salty quality to them which I like. When we came in, I overheard the cashier say they were pausing orders but didn’t hear why. For that reason, it took some time to order but it seemed to come out of the kitchen in a reasonable time.

I’ll start by saying that I love this place. It is very popular and rightly so. But recently they have struggled to keep up with the demand in terms of service and quality. Prepare to wait a long time to get your order. Today I placed an order for three items… A breakfast sandwich, a short stack of pancakes and a side of scrambled eggs. I waited almost an hour to receive the order after placing it despite receiving a text 25 minutes after placing the order that it was ready to be picked up. The pancakes came without syrup and were burned. These never should’ve made it out of the kitchen and been served.

Everything from the ambiance to the food to the service were impeccable at Blueberry Hill. My boyfriend and I were visiting the Berkshires for our anniversary and made the 30 minute trip both mornings we were there because this place is so good. Upon entering there is a sandwich board sign that clearly instructs patrons that this is more or less a self serve establishment. You order at the counter, pay and take a number, find a seat, and one of the staff members will bring your food to the table. They’ve truly idiot proofed the cafe with adequate signage for trash, dirty dishes and utensils, condiments, carry out containers, etc. The cafe itself is adorable with plenty of seating indoor and out in a eclectic atmosphere. The entrance where you place your order is stocked with locally sourced goods such as coffee, syrup, dairy products, etc. and they have a large selection of teas which for me is a major win. The food simply can’t be beat here. In the two days we visited we tried the crunchy French toast, blueberry pancakes, breakfast platter, corned beef hash, bacon stuffed waffles, bread pudding, fresh squeezed lemonade, orange juice, and orangeade, and espresso. Everything was to die for. Cooked to perfection, flavorful, FRESH, and delicious. The prices were certainly higher than your average cafe but who would mind paying more for incredibly fresh, local ingredients? Plus the portions were huge for what you pay for them. Their unique recipes for both the French toast and the hash were incredible. The Irish girl in me nearly fell out of my chair when they served real, big, savory, tender chunks of corned beef instead of a pile of ground up slop. The waffles and pancakes were fluffy with crispy edges just as they should be and the bacon was otherworldly; thick cut and cooked just right. The fresh squeezed juices alone would have been enough to bring me back and the espresso was perfect. The bread pudding, as noted in several other reviews, was unlike any bread pudding I’ve ever had, in the best way possible. The staff were friendly, helpful, incredibly accommodating, and respectful. No complaints whatsoever with the service. If you go here and don’t rate this wonderful little place a 5, it must have been a terribly off day for them and it’s worth a second shot. I’d make the 2.5 hour drive to New Lebanon just to have breakfast at Blueberry Hill! Great job guys, keep up...

3/22 EDIT: can only testify that it seems like the quality of the food here is getting even worse. I ordered a burger to go. When I got home the bun was soaking wet...I mean SOAKING...from the tomato and the outside of it was all greasy like it had been coated with oil. Additionally, just like the last time the bun tasted like the bread from my previous order....like it was grilled in old grease. It's awful....like...really awful. The burger itself was fine but that's about it.

SOME TIME IN 2017: I normally think the food here is pretty good. But today I got a chicken panini sandwich (for takeout) that I eventually had to throw out. It tasted like the bread was grilled with old vegetable oil....or some sort of fake butter. It was nauseating. Also, the sandwich was fully loaded on one half with the cheese all concentrated like a blob at one spot only, and they other half just had a few slices of chicken and some pesto. It tasted awful to be honest. I choked it down until I just...

1000/10 I can't say enough about Blueberry Hill Market and Cafe!!! First the food and atmosphere are amazing. High quality ingredients made the right wait. And their charming, New England vibe hits in all the right places. They have a wonderful bakery with a fantastic array of food to take out and an incredibly unique beverage selection. But their service has been something different altogether. We told them we were coming up for my daughter's birthday... we went there on a vacation last year and she loved their pasta and meatballs. Unfortunately, those weren't on the current menu. They said, no problem, and made them, from scratch, and also asked what kinda of cake does she like, and made a chocolate strawberry cake and a few cupcakes as well!!! Unbelievable amazing, I can't recommend going there enough!! I hope they remain successfully on business for as long as their hearts desire! Not enough tens for my ten...
