I had heard of the restaurant from clients so I decided to to take the jaunt from Clarence to Akron … what a pleasant experience .. from beginning to end our waitress was amazing! She was right on with her recommendations and knowledge of the food … we ordered the homemade bursts over caponata which was amazing and the white meatballs in wine sauce both outstanding.. for the main I ordered the lasagna which I never do at restaurants .. we make lasagna with bĆ©chamel and 99% of restaurants don’t make it this way … wow was it amazing .. can’t wait to go back … it’s lacking just a few things that’s why I will give them 5 stars if they could PLEASE PLEASE DIM THE LIGHTS AND ADD A VOTIVE CANDLE AT EACH TABLE this would be truly a magical experience with food this good

I wish I could give six stars! It has been a long time since we’ve had such a good meal in a restaurant… they graciously accommodated my wife, daughter and I even though we didn’t have a reservation and they were expecting a large party… from appetizer to dessert, everything was fresh, homemade, and delicious. The staff were warm and attentive. The cheesecake was literally the best I’ve ever had. Thank you. This sort of establishment is so rare in this day and age. Keep doing what you’re doing.

One of the best meals we have had in a resturant ever. Oh my al'dente pasta usually i expect mushy pasta. The waitress was great! helpful,, and she took her time slowly explaning every dish and promised we would like it hahah we did Its got a good atmosphere nice and quiet dimly lit but i could read the menu. Even the doggy bags are good they wrap them in celophane so they dont leak in the car. Wow! Updated visit 8/12/23 Had lasagna it was THE BEST piece of lasagna I've ever had hands down

We are staying nearby for a wedding, and decided to try out Cipollina because it was walkable and had wonderful reviews. We were not disappointed! I forgot to take pictures here is what we ordered: Apps Crema- Creamy, well seasoned tomato soup. Great start. Burrata- served with an eggplant (?) caponata, arugula and a parmesan crisp. This was really nice on the warm bread. The caponata was very tasty and I am usually anti-eggplant. Mains -Tortellini with prosciutto, peas tomatoes and garlic cream sauce. My 9 year old loved "the magical cheese purses" and even ate a good number of peas. -spaghetti w/garlic cream sauce. My other 9 year old is very cautious of new foods so we asked if she could have something familiar to her. They were kind enough to make her perfect al dente noodles in a light cream sauce. Lasagna- I would have eaten my own weight in their red sauce, it is so good. The lasagna was very good, the noodles were lovely and tender, the ricotta was creamy and the meat was well seasoned. It was not smothered in mozzarella, but enough to get the stretch and chew. So good. Salmon over parmesan risotto. I didn't try this one b/c it was gone before I could. I was told the salmon was cooked perfectly. Desserts! Cannoli:it was good, served with chocolate chips and pistachios. Cheesecake: not what you would expect, no crust and not as heavy as "NY" cheesecake. Lemon cake- limoncello icing and a springy sponge cake. Budino- Oh my God, I stole this from my child. A chocolate hazelnut pudding, smooth, not too sweet, not heavy, just so so good. (She was fine, there was plenty to share. Don't judge me.) I wish this place wasn't 7 hours from my house. Everyone was friendly, the tables were a good size, well spaced and clean. Hopefully we will have to attend more...

A hidden gem in Akron & worth the drive even from the Southtowns!! Food was delicious and many of the dishes are house made pastas with homemade sauce. The chicken Marsala meatballs & meatballs in sauce were the best meatballs I’ve ever had in WNY! I am very picky with my meatballs! My kids are so picky and my daughter who won’t touch meatballs loved them!! They begged to go back. Service is incredible! Made the dining experience unlike any other. Just don’t see good service like this these days. I truly felt like I was in Italy. The owner and chef Jerry came out and talked to us and he is so full of knowledge from all his travels and cooking experience in different regions of Italy. They didn’t have gnocchi that night, which I was hoping for but it’s only on Thursdays, so the chef made me up a dish he thought I’d love even more. It wasn’t even on the menu!! It was so amazing! It’s not overly fancy but it’s fancy enough for a a date night but also ok to bring kids who are a little older (mine are 10 and 12). I highly recommend! Chef Jerry is amazing and Hunter was the best server we have ever had! 2...

This is a must for good authentic Italian food. Was an easy ride from Tonawanda about 30 minutes but worth the ride. We had reservations for two and the table was awaiting us with my name on the place holder. Nice touch. Rosie our server who only helps out on occasions but hopefully will be there in a few weeks when we return did such an amazing job and can’t wait to hear more of her story. Rosie and all the servers were attentive to our needs and made the evening memorable. We had Burrata and Caesar salad for apps. They add plenty of shredded parm and we requested anchovies on the Caesar. To my surprise the Caesar had plenty of White Sardines the ones from Spain on the salad. Best Caesar in a long long time. They ran out of Lasagna so have to go back now to try it. The Chicken Milanese and Chicken Marsala were both cooked to perfection. If I could give an extra star I would. Make time to enjoy the evening and dont be in a hurry. We left our phones in the car to spend a quite evening at a nice small Italian restaurant, mission...
