Toast And Roast Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Niagara

Menu's pictured on here are not the menus currently being used. We visited a week ago. We had 4 in our party, no wait time for seating. Waitress was courteous. Menu does not offer pre-planned omelets, ONLY Cheese Omelet for $8.95 with option to add an item to it for an extra $1.50 per item. They do not offer pre-planned items such as Western Omelet, Spinach/Feta Omelet, Meat Lovers Omelet, etc. I ordered the Cheese Omelet and added Mushrooms. Either the eggs or the mushrooms couldn't tell which, had a funny smell/taste to it. Also Omelet ONLY comes with Toast, Homefries or Hash Browns are extra $2.95. They were out of Hash Browns this visit. They had a Breakfast Bagel on our menu as well which was ordered but does not come with coffee and side potato like on menu pictures posted here. They also have a Kids Menu of which we decided not to order off of as the Grilled Cheese on the Lunch Menu was $2 cheaper and included both Fries and a Pickle. The kids menu was $7.95 and did not. I ordered a hot tea of which only 3/4 of small mug was filled and no additional container of hot water was offered and so no refills. Only one in party had ordered coffee (free refills), of which waitress filled a couple times throughout our meal but did not ask any of the rest of our party if we'd like any other drinks or even water refills. We had empty containers. Don't know if we will return for another visit here but overall food was good for majority of our order. Be aware though your costs can increase fast with having to purchase...

Stayed at a hotel near the falls, had breakfast here on a Saturday morning en route to the Erie canal. We ate outside, food was good, bacon was crispy not gummy, they had both types of hash browns and both were good. Sausage had a nice bite to it without being crazy hot. The pancakes were huge, they have round correll plates and they were almost edge to edge. I made the mistake of ordering each of my kids a plate and they could hardly finish them. We asked for our coffee in to go cups and they were very generous with refills.

We went back Sunday morning and the place was busy. Asked to split an order of pancakes between my 12yo and 7yo sons and hardly any was left, no problem bring out extra plates. Definitely a few greener servers but they were learning quick. Remembered we used a ton of creamer and sugar, not because it was strong, it's just how we take our coffee.

Would definitely go back if I'm in the area. Nice little dinner that won't...

Disappointed at quality and price for my take out order this morning, sorry . "Western Omelette" was like a burrito soft shell with possibly two scrambled eggs inside and a few diced pieces of peppers, ham and onion. Very greasy as well. Toast was never put into bag ( discovered when I got home ) The side of bacon for the price was ridiculous. I tipped 5.00 on a 14.00 order ( before I left) because I wanted to patronize the small business ....and because friends and family said from.past experiences it was good food and quality for the price. I will not call to complain, but I also know I unfortunately will not recommend this...
