Tilted Loon Saloon — Restaurant in Town of Nokomis

The only positive experience was the lead server who addressed my concerns by charging us for one soda and the app we actually ate and by removing our two dinner items (cali burger and smothered chicken sandwich) Atmosphere is fun. Service was horrendous and extemly unhelpful (again- aside from the shift lead that was on last night). We had questions about the menu items we saw on line not being offered on the in-house menu and thought...maybe we annoyed our server and thats why our food took so long to come out? A table was sat next to us AFTER we sat down, we ordered before them and they finished their food (also sandwich/burger items) before ours was even brought to the table. The appetizer was prompt and cheese curds were delish! However, my chicken sandwich was cold, aside from the hot cheese and over hardened bun, likely due to sitting under the heat lamp? But the fries were cold and grease logged, the bite I did try of my sandwich was extremly underwhelming and my boyfriends burger was cool, like.. room temp cool. My salad was also room temp. Our server did not check on our table, she did not stop to check for refills. We waited 20 mins for our check to come after making our complaint.. essentially we paid for a soda and cheese curds to sit in a loud bar for 2 hours WAITING for COLD FOOD (that should have been hot), WARM salad (that should have been cold) and our server to check our drinks and for our bill to come. We left with out even waiting for our change which would have likely wasted even more of our time. Huge disappointment. Huge...

Food: The food wasn't good. The Shrimp Skewer was plain, just grilled shrimp with no seasoning. The chicken dippers were overcooked and tough to eat. The Southwest Chicken soup was a bowl of chicken mush that looked unappetizing and once again had very little flavor.

Service: The service was lousy. We stood around in the doorway for several minutes while wait staff would look at us and then quickly avert their eyes. Eventually, we were told we could sit anywhere we would like. The waitress rarely visited the table and the wait for food was long.

The worst offense was when we got our bill, however. The suggested tip options were:

90% 30% 25% 20%

Yes. 90%. When paying on the handheld scanner, I saw these options again. I looked at the waitress and asked point blank "Do you really put 90% as a suggested tip? Is this for real?"

She said, "yeah, haha. It doesn't get used very much but sometimes we get drunk people or people who aren't paying attention to press it."

Wow. Yes, the staff of the Tilted Loon Saloon are trying to trick and take advantage of their customers into nearly doubling the cost of their meal.

One of the worst experiences I have had in awhile. Passing through town and the food and reviews looked good. The appetizer came out WAY faster than I expected. The rest of the service was unacceptably slow. Our total time there was about an hour and forty minutes. There was a couple sat down next to us a few minutes after we arrived and they were able to finish their meals before we even saw our food(they were waiting for their check). When our food did arrive, it was room temperature. To get anything, we waited 20 minutes minimum before we would see the waitress. We didn't feel feel like eating cold food, possibly waiting another 45 minutes for fresh food, or the waitresses offer of microwaving it. After our encounter with the shift manager we waited another 20 minutes for our check. I couldn't help but feel like they they were just waiting and watching to see if we would eat our food or not. They did not charge us for the chicken sandwich or burger, just the cheese curds and soda that we consumed. Unless you have a spare 2 hours and like cold food, I wouldn't...
