Don’t get me wrong, this was a good expensive restaurant. But some of the experience was less than okay.

To start, if you go there do NOT have ice in your water. There was dirty water, which is caused by not cleaning the ice machine. When the ice melts, the particles get released. Eating very expensive food with dirty water? That seems a little absurd.

The second thing was the food. If you are crazy about nice hot food, do not go here. The food was all room-temp, cold, or warm at most. I ordered 5 courses and most of them I would not eat again. My first course was cold soup that was overpowered with basil, it tasted like eating liquid basil. The second course was good. The third course was Japanese a5 Wagyu, but it was drowned with a red-wine reduction. And the 4th course was a steak with tons of tendons and it was hard, even though it was medium-rare.

Another reason the restaurant was so-so was the service. I sat down for 3 hours to eat 5-courses, which doesn’t seem like a lot and to actually sit there. I guzzled down three glasses of dirty water because I was so hungry. We waited at least 30 minutes in between courses, which was unacceptable for the price. In the beginning, we told them every single thing we wanting, including the soufflé I had for my fifth course, and they still made me wait for all of them, and even for the soufflé which they had hours to prepare. Not to mention a lot of the servers did not speak very well English, and I could not understand them half the time. They also were not very secretive, and kept lifting the lids for our food when we could see them walking towards our table because they didn’t know which one was going to which person, and for the price you should have plenty of time to figure that out before you’re walking out to the table.

And the last thing that made this restaurant not a come-back-to was the price. From the dirty water to the so-so food and the sloppy service the price is way too high via Grandma. You should be rushing around orchard we had a table of seven people. One person had two courses, three people had three courses, and the other three people had five courses. No one even got to seven courses and it still took three hours which is a long time. We paid 1600 bucks, including a tip, which was pretty heavy for that.

Now, it was not terrible but again, I would not go back for the price. The reason why I said it was not terrible was because the atmosphere was fantastic. Being there made me want to watch ratatouille because of the little French drawings on all the sides. The plates were different for each person which is unique and I liked it. It was like going back to a fancy restaurant in the past. Good to try for French cuisine, but take into consideration, the ice, the food and...

We dined at this French-inspired restaurant, and while the food was truly delicious, the overall experience had a few rough edges.

The ambiance is lovely - elegantly decorated to transport you straight to Paris. The lighting, decor, and even the background music create a charming European atmosphere. The menu features beautifully written French dish names that add to the immersive feel.

We started with a light and flavorful asparagus salad, followed by a perfectly cooked pork chop served with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh green peas. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and tasted amazing. The real standout, though, was the dessert - absolutely incredible and beautifully presented. Whole new experience if you will.

However, the service wasn’t quite as polished as the setting. When my wife tried to order by reading the French name of the dish directly from the menu, our waiter didn’t seem to understand what she meant, which led to a slightly awkward and unexpected moment in such a themed restaurant.

Also the area where we were seated was quite noisy, making it difficult to hear my friends and enjoy the visit.

In short, the food exceeded our expectations, and the setting was charming, but the service kept the experience from being fully relaxing. Still, if you’re after great French cuisine with a side of Parisian flair, this spot is well...

After a couple of years since our last visit decided to try the place again. On previous occasions the food was OK, but service was top notch. Well, the food is still just OK (definitely overpriced), but service was terrible this time. The waiter ignored us for almost 30 minutes, before providing us with a menu. Instead he spent all his time with people who arrived after us and were seated at the table next to us. After finally noticing us, he made no effort to apprise us of the spring tasting menu. Had I not overheard him offering various menu options to the guests next to us, we would have missed out on the offering. After ordering beef medium well, I received an undercooked piece of meat that had to be sent back. After we brought it to his attention that he had neglected our presence for a full 30 mins, the waiter unapologetically stated that those were his regular customers. Neither he, nor his manager, appeared to comprehend that all paying customers deserve good service. This was our 3rd and definitely last visit to the place after being treated like 2nd class citizen for some at this rather expensive and grossly overrated restaurant. The lesson here appears to be that if you are not one of the regular crowd at this place, you are best to spend your money...

Our friends were excited to invite me and my wife for a special birthday dinner at La Crémaillère. They fondly remember the restaurant from its previous incarnation and were enticed by the tasting menu advertised on the restaurants website. Unfortunately this dining option was not available on the day of your visit. We picked steak tartare, foie gras and bay scallops as our appetizers; all good and tasty choices but the bread offered before the meal was reminiscent of microwave heated supermarket rolls. We all selected the special off the day veal steak on the bone for our main course. The veal steak turned out to be a mini tomahawk steak of baby beef from an animal that was long weaned from its mother. The sides of potatoes and chanterelle mushrooms must have been forgotten in the pan and were charred beyond recognition. The big surprise came with the bill as this dish carried an unannounced surcharge of $ 35.00 per plate. The great FX Pichler wine from the Austrian Wachovia Valley was served in Rhine wine glasses. The service was attentive without being obstrusive. We elected not to try desert.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Cremaillere and I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the enchanting ambiance. The quaint French atmosphere, complete with delightful service and soft lighting, transported me to a quaint French village. What truly stole the show were the incredible culinary creations that graced our table. The duck and lamb chop I indulged in were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavors that left me craving for more. The meat was tender, juicy, and paired perfectly with the accompanying sauces and sides… Let's talk about the soufflé, oh my goodness! It was an absolute masterpiece and surely the best I've ever tasted, not only within La Cremaillere but in the entire country! Chef Thomas Burke's expertise shone brightly in this light, airy, and incredibly flavorful creation. It was as if time froze while I savored every spoonful. Highly recommend the chef’s tasting menu and La Cremaillere restaurant!
