What a delightful surprise! From start to finish, our experience here was above and beyond. We were greeted promptly by the hostess, who immediately made us feel not only welcome, but was able to balance a certain casual friendliness with a consummate degree of professionalism. And while, ultimately, my guest and I chose to sit at the bar, our immediate impressions were that of an establishment that was well run. Upon sitting at the bar, we were greeted by our bartender, Austin, who seamlessly navigated the process of presenting menus, setting silverware, and gleaning a drink order. (It was Sunday, after church, we were ready for a d*rn drink!) To start, we ordered the cheese curds, the cauliflower bites, and a couple of glasses of wine; our lunch was off to a great start.
For our main course we had the "Slab of Belly" and the "Smash A Rondack".... Let me tell you folks, we live in Western Massachusetts, with plenty of casual dining options, and this place balanced the casual luncheon experience, with a menu that was so diverse, so fun, and with gracious service that mirrors the overpriced and stuffy Lake Placid options. But it was our server, and bartender, Austin, who managed to not only get an order out of us, but simultaneously offered attentive, gracious, and genuine hospitality who made our afternoon so delightful.
I would recommend the Ray Brook Brewhouse to any and all who enjoy great food and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally enjoyed this place. Service was excellent. Home brewed beers were very tasty. Food was well prepared. I had a flight of beers and a Smash Burger, as ordered medium, with Tots. Beers are made on site. So many to choose from from IPAs to Porters. All excellent brews. Wife had turkey club, which had big cut slices of white meat turkey. Again very tasty she loved it. Started off with the wings, very meaty and tasty. I should mention there is full table service on their spacious outdoor deck. Overall very pleased we will be back. Update: We are back, and so glad we are! Just got into town (Keene) and was hungry. It is so worth the drive. Dare I say this place is pretty perfect, as far as we are concerned. The greeting, the waiter, the ambiance, and the food were all just about perfect. I have decided the turkey sandwich, made with real sliced turkey, is now my new favorite, from any place I have ever tried. The wings are always awesome. We get the garlic Parm, extra crispy, and they are perfect. My husband loved the in house brewed porter and his burger was actually cooked medium, just as he ordered. And of course the tater tots are crispy and just right. It is so good, we might consider going back, before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to this place as a last minute decision today and it turned out to be the best place we've eaten at in the entirety of the region. Their selection of house brewed beers and stouts are pretty solid, and the taste of them is just as solid, the wait staff and bar staff were super friendly and professional and even the owners were there helping run the joint along side their employees, which is always super nice to me. The food was absolutely stellar as well, and the only nitpicky thing I have against the place is their smashburger aren't real smashburger, they're just slightly more flattened hamburgers. Other than that everything was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced for the region too, this is definitely a must stop spot for those that was great food, great service, and amazing craft beer from the brewhouse...
