Pub On The Green — Restaurant in Town of Ontario

My husband and I got surprised with a last minute babysitter on Valentines Day; I’m sure you could imagine how hard it would be to find any places with a reservation and we had no idea what to do.

We decided that the Golf Simulator at OGC/ Pub on the Green would be a fun way to celebrate. Who doesn’t like a little playful competition, playing 9 holes? Reservations were easier to make than I could ever think. What a great way to start….

We arrived and were greeted by the hostesses with such joy. They said they were going to get Caleb and to grab a drink at the bar to get started. Easy enough. The bartenders were attentive and quick! We went into the simulator and Caleb arrived! No one else thought to golf; we were treated with such care. Caleb explained everything, let us choose a course and hook our music up to the speakers. After we warmed up, he came back in and said we could order drinks and food!

Not only did we have an unexpected, private area, we had the best service, food and drinks! I can’t wait to have another date night with some of our friends. I’m Gluten Free and ordered the Wedge Salad with Steak and my husband got the Chicken Waldorf- both hit the spot. Can’t wait to try more options, as their GF selection has a...

One star because the host was very nice. Dated for 12-17-2022. Around 2 pm. Arrived, talked to host and we sat at the half empty bar. Maybe two tables had people seated. Pretty much less than 1/4 full. Sat with my wife, with menus in hand. Eye contact with the bartender after a few minutes. No hello, one minute, nothing. As we sat there, she was focused on the group of people taking shots on the other side of the bar. We sat there for a few more minutes, no contact. I am generally patient, but we got up and left when we saw her pour a shot for herself and take it.

We will never go back to that location. Poor ownership allowing an employee to drink behind the bar. Clearly she could care less about anything other than her drink. It is extremely poor taste and wildly incompetent. The restaurant lost out on a minimum 100 dollar bill.

Maybe ownership will address. Probably not. Pretty unfortunate for...

Valentines Day, no reservations, no problem. Waited a little bit and we’re planning on eating at bar but after a glass of wine, the host found a nice table for us. Great specials on menu but we went with a Korean type Salmon and Haddock French. Both were absolutely outstanding. Our waitress Heather took excellent care of us. An absolutely perfect meal. We have dined here at least 5 times since their opening and every time it is perfection in every sense. Great food, big portions and very reasonably priced, appealing specials, and a friendly and outstanding wait staff. Owner Sean was on hand this evening greeting his guests and thanking them (us) for our patron age. You really do feel like you’re a special guest each time. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed. Should have taken photos prior to digging in but it looked and smelled too...
