Decided to give this place a second chance, to see if things would be better a different time around. Unfortunately, there was no improvement. The food was still bland, lacking even the most basic of seasoning. The coffee, once again, tasted burnt, or like it had been in the pot all day. And despite the waitress being nice and friendly, her boss (the owner, I'm assuming) seriously lacked customer service skills.
At the moment of paying the bill, there were technical difficulties with the register, and they could not process our payment with a card. Instead of politely asking if we could pay through a different method, she bluntly and rudely stated we would have to use the ATM to get cash and pay. When we asked if there was a charge for its use, she said yes. When we asked her if she would reduce our check to compensate for the charge we would incrue, she rudely (again) said no. Now, we thought it was reasonable to ask for this, since we would have to pay a fee to our own financial institution for using a non-affiliated ATM as well.
The amount of the two fees we would have to pay would almost equal the amount of one of the meals we were trying to pay for. She clearly didn't consider this, nor take our perspective or position into consideration. We would have done what she suggested and used the ATM to take out cash and pay for our bill, yet the manner in which she handled the situation was less than amicable and as I stated above, very rude. While I understand that she could run her business however she wants, treating customers in this manner will not help develop a loyal customer base.
To recap, the food lacked flavor and the service was less than pleasant. While I believe in trying out a place at least once, I would caution any new patron who is considering visiting this...
Read moreThe food is amazing. Just don't bother going if it's after 11. They'll be closed, or at least the kitchen will be. I check Facebook every time to see if they're open because I've gone when they closed for the day suddenly and they'd posted on Facebook. That was my fault. But twice in the last week I've gone at a few minutes past 11 only to be told they're closing. I understand closing early and all that, but maybe put it on Facebook or something so I don't drive there first? Or since it seems to be a fairly regular occurrence, adjust your hours? I don't know why they even have a lunch menu at this point. Also, maybe put a sign on the door you're closing early so I don't walk in and have everyone stare at me as I'm told to go? I really love the food though, really hope I can have it again someday if...

Even if you try to tell the staff who brings your drinks what you want, they tell you have to wait for Natalie. The girl bringing the drinks has been there for years...
