Short Version: Great

Long Version: I was at the Boat Yard 2 summers ago during the height of the "Great Covid Hoax".

We went to see Paul Mahos, an incredible performer. During his performance people at their tables (that were ridiculously set 6 feet apart), began dancing.

On cue, the Security Staff came storming in and began physically grabbing and verbally assaulting guests to make them stop; guests who just wanted to dance after the Bogus Covid Lockdows.

I spent 20 years in the Bar and Restaurant business and I NEVER saw or would EVER take part in such a disgraceful display. I remember turning to my wife and saying "lets go, I'll NEVER patronize this joint again"!

Thankfully this past July, my wife who is lot less rigid than myself, begged me to take her back to The Boat Yard to see O El Amore (another INCREDIBLE act).

As angry and as DISGUSTED as I was towards this establishment I went back, Truth be told, NO ONE can deny thier beautiful set up or roster of incredible entertainment.

I will chalk up their disgraceful actions during "The Great Covid Hoax of 2020" to the pressure NY State put on them/all independent businesses with their ridiculous (illegal) mandates.

I'm not one who enjoys eating crow, but if I have to... being at a hip seaside venue with great bands, great food and great people makes it worthwhile. #TheNewOBI #VinylRevival #InTheGroove #TheMystic #20Highview #OelAmor #That70sBand...

My husband and I have been spending our summers at the Boat Yard and only saw it fit to get married here this past weekend. From first contact with Bill and Mark we knew we were working with a team of passionate professionals. We were introduced to manager Olivia and Chef Jim, who walked us through our menu and every detail of our event, including preparing for rain. Olivia went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. She personally decorated for our wedding and addressed every possible detail as if she were planning her own wedding. Her kindness to our guests actually brought some to tears - she was truly happy to be a part of our day, and her passionate and upbeat attitude made everyone feel welcome and important. Chef Jim totally got our palette vibe and prepared the most delicious food for our guests. I’ve been to many (big) weddings and the food that Chef Jim prepared for us was by far the best. We were so impressed by the menu and he added so many delicious extra surprises. He also came out of the kitchen frequently to check on everyone. I can’t speak highly enough of the Boat Yard and their entire team. Every single person we encountered was excited to work with us and made us feel so special and loved on one of the most important days of our lives. We are forever grateful to this team and glad that we get to spend our summers at such a...

What a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the sunset to some great music and atmosphere. Ample room at 6pm but got busy fast. Likely due to lack of tables for COVID. My gripe is the food quality is mediocre. Had the chicken tacos which were watery and had nothing on them. No cheese, lettuce or tomatoes. Just a line of watery sour cream. Flavor was ok with a ton of chicken. But still why not add other stuff? The pizza for kids was better but tasted a bit doughy. Wife had Cuban which she loved. Guacamole was super bland. Wouldn’t even call it that. More like a ball of raw avocado. Salsa was basically chunky flavorless water. Chips were fine. Everything is also kinda expensive too for a self serve place but I suppose that’s the price for location. With all my complaints I’d still come back again and try something else. You never know. Could have...

Bacon cheeseburger- 10/10. $20 Very juicy, perfectly cooked medium rare. Had it second time week later and exact same consistency. French fries perfectly crispy. Order early, takes 15-20 mins to make. Pepperoni pizza without the spicy honey sauce. 8.5/10. Pepperonis cooked perfectly, had the great roni cup shape and char. Cheese very good. Sauce slightly less than I prefer but still okay. Needs slightly better crust, flavor slightly off. This is a medium size, smack between large and personal size. Can feed 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 young kids. Zappole - 10/10. $11 These are ridiculously fresh and delicious. Perfectly made. Still hot, straight from the frier. Right amount of powder sugar. This is a must have for fresh Italian donuts made to order, can’t get that in a regular Italian bakery shop.
