I honestly would give 2.5 but I decided to round up.
My daughter had a soccer game and this was the closest restaurant. Started off with a white sangria and dry rub wings for apps. Tasted my drink and the server/bar tender added orange juice to the wine with some fruit. Didn’t taste good. I asked if she could add triple sec and made a difference. Wings came and they were good. For our mains, my daughter ordered the ribeye with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Was cooked perfectly medium rare. I ordered fire roasted chicken with salad and mac & cheese. My salad came first and the top was fresh mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and croutons. As I ate my way to the bottom, there were little chunks of the end pieces of iceberg lettuce. I ate it all but just weird of the mix of greens they used. My main course came and just looking at the chicken it was pale and came in 2 pieces. Meaning the leg/thigh (one piece) and then wing/breast (other piece). At other BBQ places, it’s usually presented as a half, un cut. Anyway, took a taste, and it was tasteless and dry. Not even your basic salt and pepper. It also came with a little side of broth (I thought it was vinegar or something to dip my chicken) and that was also tasteless. I’ve never returned food, but really. Server asked how everything was and I told her what I thought and asked if I’d like something else. I should’ve just said no but I was like let me try the pulled pork. She brought that and it was ok. I mean the savory bbq sauce it’s simmered in, isn’t really my taste. I just took that to go. The mac & cheese in all honesty seemed like nacho cheese sauce with pasta. Reminded me of Ponderosa, if anyone remembers that place. Anyway, I can surly say I will not be back, mainly because we live 50 min away. My daughter enjoyed her meal and that to me is all that matters, also watching my daughters game and...
Read moreVery impressed and will be back. We walked in around 5pm with no reservation. Upon entering there was hand sanitizer. First we ordered the daily special appetizer of Buffalo popvorn shrimp. They came out super fast. They tasted good, not too spicy and had blue cheese crumpled along with blue cheese dressing. My husband and I again ordered the daily special. We had Ribeye steak with garlic and herb butter with choice of 2 sides ( there were numerous). I ordered mine rare my husband medium. They came out exactly as ordered. I opted for a side salad and macaroni & cheese as my sides. The Mac and cheese was creamy and do delicious. Salad looked appetizing and tasted just as good. The restaurant was nice and cool in 91 degree weather. The bathrooms warm but clean. We will definitely be back.
So we went back. Was even better the second time. I had the TriTip and will be ordering that again. It was cooked perfect and was very flavorful and tender. The Mac & cheese is delish too. This was my treat before going back on my Keto diet....
Read moreFood is always excellent. Service is super fast! Everything I have ever eaten here is always great. The Tri Tip roast is awesome, remember if you don't want your Tri Tip drenched in the yummy BBQ sauce tell your server. Got a combo Tri Tip no BBQ sauce, BBQ Ribs both meats were to die for, with Mac and Cheese and a huge stack of fresh Onion Rings. Food was to die for. Other guest had the Tri Tip au jus sandwich with broccoli. The sandwich is so juicy and the Tri Tip is delicious it's covered with grilled onions and mushrooms topped with cheese, you need a fork. Only complaint is the butter is always so cold (like frozen cold) you can't butter the yummy corn bread or rolls they serve or it falls apart or rips the roll. I have never been in a restaurant where the guests hugs the wonderful servers goodnight. They clearly have a very loyal and regular clientele. Been here a number of times since arriving in the area and...
