Junior's Too — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

Well we decided to try Junior's Too last night for dinner. Christopher Dickson was behind the bar of course. We had the bang bang shrimp and chicken nachos. SJ said they were the best nachos ever. LoL both apps were great. We split the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Let's just say it can feed 3 people and tastes awesome. The chicken on the sandwich was one of the best fried chicken I have ever had. We took enough of it home to have lunch today. Our son had a burger which was also very good. Whoever is doing the cooking is doing an awesome job. We will return again for sure. The specials that were rolling out of the kitchen looked amazing as well. Food and service were excellent. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich, eggplant sandwich were good sized portions and very good quality bread (important), great fries! Delicious! The lunch special menu was such a good value and had a great selection. Had the shrimp jalapeno popper quesadilla and omg it was to die for!! Friend had the chicken pesto pasta and said it was great. The portions were awesome especially for the $12 price point. Eating out has gotten expensive so this was great. That being said, the sandwiches off the regular menu were so well prepared that we didn't mind the price, which is in line with what things cost now. Our server was friendly, welcoming and attentive. I checked out the new "Junior's Too" recently and was so glad I did. They did a fantastic interior remodel of the structure at 1126 Dutchess Turnpike making use of light, open space, and focusing on a large open center bar. The atmosphere is bright and fun. The vibe is friendly and energetic. The menu is well crafted with some interesting twists and daily specials. Very reasonably priced food and drinks. I was also delighted to learn they have one of the best chefs in this area. Their new logo design suggests the Phoenix symbol; A mythical bird which is said to rise from its own ashes. Indeed this place has. They are going to do well....
