This brings me much pain to give this place 2 stars. I have held back the last couple times in writing a review on this place because I feel everyone deserves another chance... But this is now 3 times I have had a bad experience. Let me first off by saying this is not about the food.. the food is good, that's why I keep going back for pizza. It's the customer service and the operations of the business that bothers me. I have managed and made pizzas for a total of 8 years in my life and feel I do have a little knowledge in the field and how things are to be done. My first two issues with this place is on multiple occasions I have came into this pizzeria to grab just a solo slice. Nothing crazy. Initial turn off is the woman that works there always smoking in the front, but that's not where this review is going. On two separate occasions (over an hour before their closing) they have had no pizzas to sell by the slice. First time I was offered to buy a full pie, second time I wasn't offered anything, just the awkward "sorry" by the counter person. Okay, I get not wanting to make a pizza close to closing time because it probably won't sell and you will be left with a few extra slices, unfortunately that's part of the business so, that should be adjusted. As for tonight.. pretty frustrating. Again just looking to grab one single slice of pizza. As I walked in I can only imagine one of the owners or she was his wife that was working counter. Yes she was on the phone taking an order when I walked in however zero acknowledgement to me. Not a wave, head nod, smile, nothing. She then takes this order for I would say close to 5 minutes while I am waiting. As this is going down the other man working was on the phone and again, zero acknowledgement. Waiting, waiting.. 3rd phone line starts to ring (busy is good, glad that they are). She ends her initial phone call, picks up the new call coming in and begins to ask what they would like. I was Thunderstruck! Lol I can't believe she wouldn't of put them on hold. She figured since I was there she was getting my money anyway and I had l day to sit there and wait patiently with a smile on my face. We made eye contact after that, she saw my eyes of confusion and I just turned around and walked out the door. As I'm walking she says to the client on the phone, " can I put you on a quick hold?" And then continued to shout to me "I can help you, I can help you". I ignored her like she did me. 🤷 Come on guys, let's get...
Read moreI have hesitated to write this review because I really wanted to give them a chance to improve, but we have ordered delivery from Mike and Joe's about a half a dozen times in the last few months, and there hasn't been a single time when our order was correct. My husband has ordered a few different chicken sandwiches and wraps, and has never received what he asked for. The quality of the ingredients has also been lacking, with greens that were goopy and far from fresh, and small, tough bits of chicken. A friend who ordered the buffalo chicken wrap said the same thing. I do enjoy their salad pizza and I don't understand why the ingredients for that are vastly fresher than what they put in the heroes and wraps.
The restaurant was willing to send out a second sandwich when my husband called after receiving the totally wrong order again recently, but the rest of us were done with dinner by then (and they sent balsamic dressing instead of marinara sauce with the second hero, so even that one wasn't correct.)
Mistakes happen to everyone, but please remember that when people are spending their hard-earned money on dinner after a long day at work and are just looking forward to enjoying their meal, it's incredibly frustrating and disappointing to receive food that isn't right and isn't fresh. I hope the restaurant will use this feedback to improve...
Read moreOn June 22, 2024, Saturday at 12:00 P.M., I'm going to have a 355-topping pizza with pepperoni, sausage, cheese, and prosciutto. I will call the Guinness book of world records to officially make this pizza the world's largest pizza ever made in global history. I may spend over $2,000.00 on this pizza and this includes diet coke, unsweetened tea, espressos, coffee, beer, wine, and water. At Mike and Joe's, a picture of me with my 213- topping pizza with 101 toppings of mushrooms, 2 toppings of cheese, 55 toppings of sausage, and 55 toppings of pepperoni is at the front counter when you walk in at Mike and Joe's. The owners said they will put up another picture of me with my 355-topping pizza on the wall. I have another picture on the wall with my 30-topping pepperoni pizza. On the 213-topping pizza picture, I'm wearing a white shirt with a 152-topping pepperoni pizza which I will wear when I get the 355-topping pizza. They now serve hamburgers and large pieces of bacon. I'm their number 1 customer. You may call me Alec or...
