Papa's Diner Queensbury — Restaurant in Town of Queensbury

Papa's WAS a great, cozy little restaurant to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I stress the past tense! Since June of this year (2019) it seems to have gone downhill rapidly. Hubby and I went in for breakfast one morning and waited almost 40 minutes to get our food, and even then, our order was messed up and given to the wrong table first. We thought it was a fluke, so we went back in a week later and we once again waited over 25 minutes for our food (we are talking eggs & bacon here...not gourmet meals!) This past Monday we went in for lunch. It was past the lunch rush hour. Over half the tables were dirty, the chairs had crumbs on them (I'm talking SEVERAL tables!), floor was dirty with crumbs, napkin. One waitress on, who for the most part, rather than cleaning up tables, chairs, pushing in chairs (they blocked some of the pathways), she played on her phone behind the counter. I must admit that she was very pleasant and DID offer us drink refills, but good service does not necessarily outweigh a dirty restaurant. When first noticing the condition of the place, we should have turned around and walked out , but I was always fond of this local diner and wanted to give it one more shot (thinking the rush hour was over and the waitress was just getting around to cleaning up after the lunch rush) I told my husband that this was our last time going to Papa's Diner. They have had their 3 strikes. What a shame, as this was previously an enjoyable little...

i haven’t been here in a couple of years i ordered the cinnamon roll stuffed french toast only order it if you like way too much caramel and creamed cheese took a few bites couldn’t finish it didn’t even taste like french toast because it was way too overloaded with sugar the chef needs to back off with how much topping they use it’s french toast not a triple layered cake they brought me regular french toast after and even that was horribly dry i’m sorry but even after covering it with syrup the center of the bread was dryer than a desert if you ever eat here DO NOT GET THE FRENCH TOAST!!! the staff are friendly but that was the only part of my experience that was good other than having to put my cup at the edge of the table just for them to notice my glass was empty. if i ever go back it’ll be a long time.onion rings were ok at least they were nice and crispy. overall all experience was very disappointing and usually im not picking with food. they need...

Food was some what decent. Hash had a sour taste to it. The owner was our waitress and the service was less than acceptable … never once asked for refills when we clearly sat with empty glasses for the entirety of our meal. Once food was dropped she never once came back to check on us or like I said get refills. After our meal we sat for about 8 minutes waiting for our check until we finally went upfront to pay , the second waitress then had to remind the owner (our server) 3 different times that we needed our bill to pay. After about another 8 ish minutes and the 3rd reminder she finally cashed us out. She seemed way more interested in clearing tables and sitting new people when she couldn’t even handle or attend to the ones she had. Safe to say we will not be back....
