Today I ordered pastrami sandwich on a hero role for $10.99. I asked for Russian dressing and coleslaw. When I got the bill I saw they were going to charge me $7.48 for coleslaw on the sandwich. I cancelled the coleslaw. I live in NYC. Not known for low prices. I have never been charged for coleslaw on my sandwich. But if I were, it would be like 1.00 like some places charge for sliced tomato. Anyway, just be warned to check your bill at this place. From now on I will stick to buying their bagels which are excellent. I am looking forward to reading the owner's response. He seems to have an answer for everyone. I was back at Jessie's this week and had a good conversation with Jesse the owner. I have seen her behind the counter for years. I did not know she is the owner. She has always provided great service and I now understand that what happened to me was a mistake by a...
Read moreFood was mid. Walked in at 3:20 and the lady behind register rolled her eyes and walked away as if she was annoyed I came in 40 minutes before close. I waited to place my order and when I did, I ordered a #2 panini and she asked me “what is that?” With an attitude. I told her what the menu described it as. She then walked away before I could place my second sandwich order. I asked the other lady that was working and she was short worded and seemed annoyed as well. The phone was ringing off the hook and they laughed and ignored it. Just a weird vibe. I felt so uncomfortable while waiting for my food. Their energy was just off and you could feel that they didn’t want to make my food or even have a costumer in there. Why work at a place you don’t want to be. It’s clear these workers don’t...
Read moreStopped in for a breakfast sandwich and coffee, both very good and the place inside is beautiful nice spot to eat. My only criticism is they should needle/persuade their old landlord at 201/203 Orange Tpke to clean up the blighted property. It is an eyesore for years with the original store just slowly crumbling and rotting into oblivion. In this market, why not sell the property. Or at the very least knock down the decrepit buildings. We all take pride in our homes and properties and this is an unnecessary blight on the village and the area. Now that they have moved 2 stores will just sit there and rot. I'm not blaming them as it appears they don't own the property but its not right to...
