The Tiki Bar on Seneca Lake — Restaurant in Town of Reading

RACIST . NO RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BOAT RENTAL . I had a very bad experience there on 09/03/2023. I called Anchor marina for boat rental and they said its first come first serve but they have one boat available at Tiki bar to pick it up . I went there the guy at the counter was fully drunk and was noy able to communicate as he was on some kind of drugs and told us they dont have for 4 o clock as i reached there at 3:30 o clock . Before going there i called the place to confirm if they any rental available and they said i can at 4 as they one avaialble but as i we t there he said he has none available but have for one available for 6 o clock . He said you can come in 2 hours and take the boat . I called my family , they drove all the way OWASCO lake to SENECA lake like 1.5hour drive and then this RACIST guy told me he has no boats . The people who has the boat extended the boat hours which was not true as i saw the boat was docked there and he offered to someone else for more money . Patethic service ....

The bartenders would not pay attention to one side of a third of the bar. We were all older, sober, and watched them serve people that kept walking up to the bar after us. After a 20 min wait (there were 3 people at the bar when we arrived), we got our mixed drinks, each with a fruit fly. When attempting to get a 2nd round, a birthday party came in, all 4 of us (not all together) were ignored again after waiting 15 min and watched them served the party ahead of us. Couldn't get another margarita, out of tequila. They were running food & then letting people know they were out of fries. Food was an hour and half wait, so we left and went to Horseheads brewery, which I noticed a handful of others from the Tiki did as well. Within 90 seconds we ordered drinks and food at the brewery (who had one bartender, tiki had 2). Tiki is a Great idea, great atmosphere, horrible execution. I've been bartending for 23 years and I've never ignored anyone like that, nor have I ever seen it that bad....

A must visit tiki dive bar! Excellent service from Ashley our bartender. Although it’s worth noting that service is obviously much slower on weekends when they’re busy compared to slow weeknight evenings. Wonderful mix of locals and tourists having a great time. Perfect location with killer views, can’t get closer to the lake than this! The light up tiki trees were a whimsical touch. Come by car or water vessel! They’ve got dock space and plenty of parking. Affordable drinks, corn hole, foosball table, and for those who want to get out on the lake itself there is boat rentals...
