Canalside Inn — Restaurant in Town of Royalton

Our waitress was so nice and super attentive. I had a Malibu Bay breeze and she made it perfect. We always get beef on weck which is always amazing, especially with the shrimp pasta salad but tonight tried the chicken cordon blue flat bread. Yum, it was Chrispy but not dry and had a lot of cheese. And the show super for tonight was the chicken noodle soup...a little spice to it and so good. The girl who made all the food came out to check on us as well, she not only made amazing food but couldn't have been any sweeter....

Food and service was horrible. Was met at the door by the cook smoking a cigarette outside stating that my food was almost ready. It was brought out to me 15 minutes late. Roast Beef sandwiches were cold, no juice provided to help warm them up. Side order was left off one of the orders, fries and clam strips were over cooked, produce on chicken sandwich was not fresh. Our last visit here was amazing so we were so excited to enjoy a great meal. Highly disappointed and will not be returning. ...

We were biking the towpath from Lockport and the Canalside Inn was recommended as a good stopping place for lunch, 8 miles up the path. Our beef on weck, chicken fingers, fries and mozzarella sticks were very good. The building itself and the dining area are not particularly appealing but the food was good, the staff were nice, and it was a nice distance from Lockport for my 10 year old to ride. I would stop...
