Max's Custard — Restaurant in Town of Seneca Falls

Update July 2023: we went again today and it was the same thing and I see I’m not the only reviewer saying this so this place really needs to fix their operations. They couldn’t give any soft ice cream in a cone because it was so soft. This is an ice cream place!! We won’t be back. It’s a bummer because my kids really love the theme here.

My kids absolutely love the cow theme and I've always loved the variety of flavors. However they have GOT to fix their freezers or refrigeration system. We have been several times this season already and every single thing we tried is melted when they hand it to you. Soft, hard, custard... think of an ice cream cone after several minutes on a hot day. However, the days we've gone it hasn't even been above 70 degrees. The one day it was too cold to sit outside so we sat in our car, however the ice cream was still melted when handed to us. They even put my husband's hard ice cream cone in a bowl because it could not stand up on the cone upon being scooped. It's pretty disappointing and I hope they can fix it ASAP as hotter...

I know we're going through a lot now, but I went there yesterday and all I wanted was a small dish of ice cream. First the girl bypassed my car for two other cars that drove up after me and took their orders and when I said something she said I'll be right back and went back to the building. Then she came back and went to another car that just drove up. When she finally came to me I explained that I was here before the other three cars. She said I'm sorry then took my order of just one dish ice cream, that was 730 then I was told they only take cards ok I gave her card number plus I gave her a tip, thinking this should be quick. 15 minutes later she came back saying card machine down we have to have cash, I'm thinking one dish ice cream could have brought with them to say that would have been on my way. Now it's 8pm still waiting I'm seeing all these cars getting their orders even cars after me, not just one thing but ice cream and food. I stay calm to see how long it will take. Needless to say I left at 825pm and never got my order but she...

I went to go get ice cream with my family and this employee was being so rude to this little old lady and said stop grabbing other people's ice cream.Of course their staff members are going to say they were concerned of the health and safety of others. I can assure you that was not the issue. I was there and indeed was the old lady's Ice cream and no one else's. I asked for a bowl she gave me a dirty look and totally ignored me. When she gave me my ice cream she shoved it in my hand. I asked the other employee what her name was so I can report how nasty she was talking to the customers and the girl said what does it matter our mom owns this place and she will not get in any trouble. I asked for the manager and she would not direct me to the manager to talk too.That's says so many words and I will not be going back and I will tell many people to stay away. I will be reporting this place to the better...
