Our first visit and we were quite comfortable dining inside, lighting just above candle light bright. Wall murals were nice, furniture was sweet. Like the formed booths but the barrel chairs are awesome! Party of four and our house margaritas were brought quickly. Nice touch of salt or sugar on the rim. Delicious taste of tequila stood out. We ordered our meals and enjoyed a short time of chatting before they arrived. The chimichangas with chicken or beef. I enjoyed the beef, seasoned nicely. Just the right amount of lettuce and tomato with a dollop of advocato cream on the side. The chimichangas were a little smaller than other restaurants, but they were priced accordingly; and, instead of taking one home, I ate both. The separate dish of refried beans looked to be nice and creamy, just not my thing. After dining, we stepped onto the outside dining area. Such a nice fresh breath of are, spacious, and room for many. Great for children, great ample parking. The staff was all very friendly and quick to serve with a smile. We were made to feel very comfortable. Very enjoyable visit.

2/14/2023: My wife and I had dinner there. I had the Nachos Don Leo (and Molcajete as takeout), my wife had a Vegan burrito. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the service (from Cameron T.) was fantastic. The appetizer chips and their home-made, slightly-spicy salsa was also great. We were too full for dessert. 10/17/2023: I got takeout from Mariachi De Oro and decided to try some Oaxaca Tacos, to get a feeling for the Oaxaca street food. There are at least 5 choices of meats: Steak, Chicken, several types of Pork, or Chorizo. I got the Chorizo and I highly recommend it. There were 4 soft tacos, filled nicely, and large enough to pick up and eat in your hands with minimal spilling. In addition to the cilantro and onions, there were 4 pieces of lime, whose juice I squeezed over the tacos. I would never have thought of that. Finally, there was also green chili salsa on the side. It was pretty spicy and added a lot to the tacos' flavor. I'm definitely ordering this again.

The best part of my experience here was driving up. It’s a nice looking place, and maybe away from the holidays, they may have nice food. When I walked in, at least a fajita plate someone ordered was sizzling. When I was seated the greeter and waitress were friendly and pleasant. The chips and salsa I received, though was ice cold. It wasn’t terrible, but ice cold, it wasn’t pleasant. We ordered and my wife got up to wash her hands. We ordered Carnitas and they hit the table directly after my wife returned to the table. It felt way too quick and I could see there was no steam. Everything on the plate was flat, wilted and cold. The beans were pale and tasteless. My pork was more a pulled pork, old, cold and bland. We immediately got up and left. I drove an hour here based on reviews for authentic Mexican. What I received was nuked old food. Unacceptable.

I sent a message to this restaurant via their website but haven’t heard back. It’s been approximately 36 hours. Maybe this review will get their attention.

I order from here quite often. And I ALWAYS wait longer than anticipated. I even get to the restaurant late for this reason. I normally don’t mind because the food is always delicious. The other night i was told via text my order would be ready by 5:51. I arrived at 5:56. It took about 7 minutes to have anyone address me or the several people in the lobby. The hostess said my food was not ready and it would be right now.

I sat there and waited until 6:20, nearly 30 minutes from when the food was supposed to be ready. I asked a different host if my food was ready yet and that it had been about 30 minutes since I was told it would be ready. He disappeared into the kitchen and a third hostess/server came out with my food. As I handed her my card to pay, I asked her “has this been sitting out long?” She assured me saying, “no, not at all. It’s just that we’re very busy.”

Once I arrived home, which was only a 6-min drive, I quickly realized the food had, indeed been sitting out for quite some time. The burrito was lukewarm, they didn’t provide the same amount of chips, as they always have provided in the past, and my food (Chico con Chico) was almost cold, difficult to cut, and extremely chewy. It has been sitting out on the counter for at least 20 minutes.

Like I said earlier, this place is notorious for telling you your food is ready at a specific time, and it always comes out late. And I usually don’t mind to sit and wait. I’m usually a very patient person even though I could be doing something better with my time. However, to blatantly lie and serve cold food that would be better served to a dog, is unacceptable. What did I just spend $32 on?!?AND to disregard the complaint sent via their website?

Can’t say that I won’t eat there again because it is the only Mexican in town, and they are very good. However, going forward, I will be requesting a table and I will sit there and order takeout and wait until it’s been presented appropriately. Maybe using table space for a takeout order will get the staff in line and me out the...

I was traveling around local high schools in the area for work along with several coworkers from other colleges. We had a break in our day, and decided to try out Mariachi de Oro Mexican Grill. We had high hopes, as reviews were high online and the food looked fresh and well prepared. Our expectations were not met, unfortunately, and we were met with hostile staff upon arrival. They were not accommodating to our group. 5 out of the 6 of us arrived, and they let us know we all had to be there to be seated (nobody else was there), and when the 6th individual showed up they would need to be seated alone due to their policy? To solve the matter, the 5 of us sat at the bar. We were treated terribly by the staff and their hostile attitude. They would not allow us to split the bill and gave no flexibility but rather told us no, that's the policy (even though we needed to be reimbursed separately by the different companies we work for). The girl taking care of us at the bar argued with us and was very rude. She said "i'm not going to argue with you". Asking for more than one chip basket for 6 people was met with a scoff and attitude. Any additional sides requested also were They were unwilling to help us at all and treated us like we were in the wrong for even being there. When an individual from our group asked to speak to the manager to clear things up she replied promptly no, they are not here. After minutes of back and forth, we had no choice but to pay 1 bill. Over 100 dollars for some mediocre food. Not worth it at all. Worst dining experience- do NOT recommend a company that won't even try to work with...

We were lucky enough to get out of the house on a Saturday afternoon. The wife and I both love Mexican food, so this is our first choice when we can make it work. I have known the owner Leo and much of his family for years. They are a terrific family, and it's no surprise they have been successful with their quality of food coupled with a solid work ethic! They do such an amazing job of making you feel welcome. Chips and salsa to start is very well done. We both got jumbo margaritas, one strawberry, and one traditional lime. They were giant, well made, and obviously the better deal if you plan on ordering more than one. The wife ordered Pollo Fundido and added beans to the rice. She loves chicken flautas and this is very close......if not better. Chicken was moist and flavorful. I ordered a taco salad with beef and also the chimichangas platter. One chicken, one beef. The taco salad was slammin...I don't know how they make their ground beef but it was the clear highlight of the dish nestled below the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and guacamole. Fantastic. The chimichangas were also above reproach. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly......with an amazing melted cheese sauce over the top of everything. We also ordered some tamales to take home, as it's a specialty only prepared on weekends. This was simply for late night and Saturday snacking! We also ordered an order of flan to split at home. Service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. If you want delicious, authentic food from an amazing Oaxacan family, get your...
