I may never eat here again, and will likely advise other the same. On April 13, 2024, I, along with my dad and Aunt, arrived ar Nick's at about 9:30am for breakfast. When we entered we were greeted by a hostess who said we could not be seated at this time while the kitchen catches up. She then stated we need to wait outside and she would come and get us in about 5-10 minutes, I looked around and saw that easily half the tables had been bussed and were clean. I acknowledged and understood the kitchen issue, and asked if we could at least wait at an empty table and that we were willing to wait, in consideration of the kitchen needing to catch up. The hostess then went into the kitchen and asked if she could seat us and that we were willing to wait. She returned and said that the owner said no, we need to wait outside (and it was raining). I have been to places where you have to wait to be seated due to tables needing to be bussed, but never asked to leave, when plenty of tables were clean and ready. Not only did this restaurant lose a regular customer, but their table servers lose tips and more potential tips due to a poor customer service/lack of...
Read moreFind another place to eat!! We went there for a Sunday breakfast. Bathrooms are dirty and disgusting, need I even say anymore? We had to wait for a table, and the waitress told us to wait in the foyer or outside and she'll come and get us. Others that arrived after us waited inside the door like where we were going to wait. The waitress didn't introduce herself. Veggie omelet and home fries had absolutely little to no taste. No flavored creamers for coffee. I always order coffee in a to-go cup ever since I had a white ceramic mug with a lipstick ring on the outside at another restaurant many years ago. I did the same here, and the waitress said that she has to charge me for a refill in a small to-go coffee cup. I told her that I would finish all of the coffee here and won't take it out of the restaurant. I started to tell her the lipstick story, and she didn't want to hear it and only said do you want a refill. I said forget about it! This is the only restaurant in around 15 years that wanted to charge me another $2.49 for the refill. There are many other restaurants in the area that deserve your business, do yourself a favor...
Read moreAn okay, not overly friendly place. A lot of staring although there was an attempt to be surreptitious. The food was okay. I should have specified I wanted the cheese folded inside my omelet. This presentation made it look like fake cheese from a kid's toy kitchen. Toast had butter that didn't melt making me think it was pretty cold to begin with. My omelet had a good portion of mushrooms and bacon. I had potatoes with grilled onions which was pretty good, although a certain amount was overcooked to the point of being burned.
Be warned, they only have Sweet N Low as an artificial sweetener. If you need the yellow or blue stuff, better bring your own! And they don't put tips on your credit or debit card, so have some cash available if you plan to tip your server.
My server was kind and attentive and didn't...
