La Guadalupana Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Southeast

Very good Mexican-Central American food - really tasty and affordable with no frills about the place but if you love good food and friendly staff, this is the place for you. My Spanish is not great but the staff can accommodate with a little help - I have never had “loroco” before and the loroco and cheese empanada was delish. Google translate was no help since it literally means “loroco” - a vegetable from Costs Rica. Really tasty! The menu is meat-centric but we found some good fish, veg, and shrimp options. I was told the banana licuados (shake) was outstanding too....

I got the steak fajitas. The flavor of the meat was great, but more than half the plate was macaroni salad, which I couldn't eat (egg intolerance) - NOT MENTIONED ON THE MENU, it said regular salad. I also asked for "no cheese" and they ADDED cheese. I never had macaroni salad with Mexican fajitas before. I felt robbed....
