When we came in it didn’t look too busy, not one person was seated inside. We waited for a hostess to show up for over 6 minutes. Finally the bartender came over after two other parties came in behind us. We had 5 people, party of 6 behind us and a party of four behind them. When we finally got seated outside there were a couple empty tables so I was excited that it wasn’t overly crowded. Our waitress came over and took our drink order, she came back saying they didn’t carry a common drink that we ordered. That was fine and we ordered something else. She came back with the last drink and we ordered our food. Our waitress never returned after our drinks until 1/2 hour later when our order of cheese sticks (5 sticks) came out and not enough plates for everyone. My friend who ordered the prime rib asked our waitress if she could make sure that her prime rib was medium since the waitress never asked and she replied “yes”. The waitress never came back around. We had to ask another waitress to fill our drinks. It took over an hour to get our food. I could understand if it was extremely busy but our waitress had 3 tables total ( that was including ours). No one was seated inside the restaurant at this point. Our waitress walked passed our table several times never asking if we needed anything, fill our drinks or how long our food would be. Finally when our food showed up it was missing most of the sides that were ordered with the entrees. She asked “if we were all set?” I stated all the sides that were missing and she went and got them, never asking about drinks, napkins, condiments. As my friend looked at her prime rib we noticed it was def well done and had been grilled. I have never seen a grilled prime rib. It was 90% gristle and fat, barely meat and was tough. Our waitress never returned again until 45 mins later to ask us if we needed anything else. We said just the check and my friend showed all the fat and grill marks on her prime rib and the waitress said she would tell someone. We got our check, paid and went to the bar to talk to someone about our poor service and terrible quality prime rib dinner. The bartender just defended everyone for being new. Not a great experience at all and obviously...
Read moreEDIT a group of friends and myself went last night on 6/2/24. We had a party of 11. 3 got there first then the others a little after. We were NEVER told about a party of 8 or more not being able to split a check. We mentioned early that there was 2, 1 then the rest on another check. Nothing was said. When the server got around to the wife and I I said we were a 2nd check. Server nodded her head and I saw her draw a line above our order. Later at check time the single bill shows up and she says she can't split it... Now we have NO problem with a 18% minimum tip, but we stated we only have our cards. So it was sooooo embarrassing to have to ask our friends to borrow the money for diner after already ordering and eating. That being said I also understand the whole 18% on a large group, BUT I NEVER been to a place that won't split a check for any size party... also, what if my friends didn't have the means to cover the 2 of us? Would we just not pay? NO, they would have split it. Also the 8 dollar piece of cake was half the size this week than last. It was amazing the week prior when our big group got to split checks.
RESTAURANTS: if this is a NEW thing then expect to loose business. How many people in 2024 can pay for 10+ people on one bill?
What ticked me off the most was when the manager showed up with an attitude "how is everything out here?" We were trying to figure out how we were all going to pay now at this time. We all said "no, we're fine." Then he proceeded to say "I heard there was an issue with your check." We tried to explain and he said "Well that's the story I was told and that's how we do ot here. Every other restaurant is doing this now. Whoever served you last week was not following our rules." So he went out of his way to be a douch...
5/29/24 Nice restaurant with inside and water view, patio seating. Prices were reasonable and the food was good. Saw a live band that was great. Will...
Read moreTo say our experience was wonderful would be an understatement. After spending the day at the renaissance fair we wanted to stop for a bite before our drive back home. We waited 10 minutes to be seated and the restaurant was dead. Moving on when we placed the order we asked for separate checks. The wait was 45 minutes for our order to come out. Once the food did arrive everything came at once instead of the appetizer and salads first before the meal. Then the wings were dry and there was no blue cheese or extra sauce that was requested. The chicken parm and spaghetti was dry. The burgers were over cooked and dry. No spoon for apple sauce or a steak knife for the strip steak. Waiter never stopped at table to check for refills or ask if everything was good. We had to flag the waiter down to ask for utensils and blue cheese and wing sauce. Never received blue cheese nor a steak knife so the strip steak was cut up with a butter knife. Eventually a spoon was provided when we asked another waitress walking by. We requested check and when it was brought it was all in one. We again asked for 2 separate checks and had to wait another 10 minutes. Finally, after being there for nearly 2 hours we just ended up paying cash to get on with our night. Sadly due to our experience we...
