Red Schoolhouse Wines — Restaurant in Town of Stone Lake

We visited on the recommendations of others on Best of Wisconsin emails. CUTE, CUTE, classy and semi rustic place. Be careful you might miss it! Laid back and the nicest bartender!! Ordered croissant bread sandwiches ham and cheese, tiny for $10.50 but so full of flavor!! The Sangria was very tasty, hubby drank Capital Supper Club also smooth, pale and delicious. We both HIGHLY RECOMMEND this spot for a lazy afternoon with someone special. There is outdoor seating. They also sell bottles of wine and whiskey to enjoy at home. Have fun and enjoy!!

Absolutely stellar location to visit for a cold beverage! Beautiful, spacious, and shaded outdoor patio with grapevines growing up the walls. The gal manning the wine store noticed us eyeing some whiskey and wines, and immediately invited us for some impromptu tastings, and helped guide us towards some that catered specifically to our tastes. Left with a great selection, and truly felt like we had been welcomed to a second home by the very courteous and observant staff. Thank you for having such a beautiful place...

This place has a great vibe. There's primarily outdoor seating which is perfect for sipping wine while listening to live music. Food is delicious - the bread with dipping oils is amazing and the sandwiches are quite tasty. Be warned though that service is very slow. You often have to put your food order in at the bar and you will likely wait in line a while to do so. Food also takes a bit to get to your table. Kids are welcome, esp if they like dancing, but trust me, it's much more enjoyable if you leave...
